Ahhh... you are not being a dick at all. If you want a black interior, that's reason enough. Seriously. And if I'd bothered reading your entire post, I would have actually known already why you've passed on that particular car!
In that case, I'd probably go take a look at the White NB and see if it "tickled my fancy". You aren't in any real hurry, so there isn't any pressing reason to jump on a plane to have a looksy at that one in Florida.
You could also buy the almost-right car and swap the tan interior for a black one. It took me about two months to casually find all the pieces I needed to swap my '92 Black-n-Tan. It seems like one of the used parts vendors is parting out a nice MSM or other black interior car at the rate of one per month. And the shipping cost isn't that bad. I think the shipping on my dash and all the interior plastic (no carpet or door panels) from the east coast was around $70. You might even find someone to swap complete interiors with.
And fwiw, swapping interiors is not hard. It just takes about half a day after you have all the parts together.
haha, that florida car is sold already
If Ken o bought it, it'll be for sale in about 2 weeks. ;-)
Sold to me.
Now for sale for $1000 more!
Look, I don't know Rebel, except that I sold that car to him and he seemed like a nice guy. I don't get a commission for "selling his car", but I honestly don't understand why you (or someone) haven't taken $5k out of the bank, run (not walked) over to Rebel's place, and bought his car already. Of course, it's your money, and maybe you don't like dark blue cars... or tan interiors... or perhaps you just fancy a trip to Disneyworld. Anyway, good luck!
I'm just waiting for Rebel to call me Friday evening. Already been to the bank and cash in hand!
