We held a one-run bragging rights challenge with the president of each club running the same car: The Bandit. Despite significant consternation over the lack of multiple lumbar and headrest adjustments, Hollingsworth (BMW) took an early lead, and Howard (PCA) couldn't quite catch him. It was probably the unusually nimble and powerful feel of a Miata that threw-off the P-car enthusiast. Cost (ER) set an fast lap and jumped to the lead, despite his misgivings about the lack of classing options. The final run would be taken by Jan (NTAXS), who laid down a smoking raw time that would have won by 1.3 seconds, but - in true S2000 spirit (as the origin of the club) - was spoiled by his two cone penalties.
Looks like ER holds the bragging rights this time, but a rematch is sure to follow!
