The proposed run/work order for tomorrow is:
Run 1/3: 2, 2R, X, XR
Run 2/4: 1, 1R, 3, 3R, S2k
Good "times" today ! Thanks NTAXS!
I even liked JJ's course!
Fun and fast course today, and the rain gods smiled on us. Great job as usual NTAXS!
I really enjoyed the course, one of the more interesting courses I've driven at TMS that had far more flow and rhythm than it walked. The pivots were much faster than they appeared too.
+1 on the course. It was fast and fun!
And a great usage of the entire lot!
I thought the course was great, but I never figured out the right line for the long S curve in the middle. It looked like most people tried to exit the preceding slalom fast, and enter the S wide. However, that made them work hard at the end of the S to make the pivot. It looked like a better approach would be a tighter entry from the slalom, with more time on the throttle through the S. Thoughts? Videos?
That's what I did. I had no problem with that outside cone after the big S. That being said, I was on the limiter about halfway through the S and tried going to 3rd on my last two runs but miffed the downshift. Stupid short 18s....
Not my fastest run, but the S didn't change much for me from this:

I wound up getting on the wait list and then I got in and of course overslept the next day. Night before I drove back from visiting Family in Atlanta so 12 hours on the road took its toll. This point I need as much practice as possible in the Miata cause I don't know how to drive RWD after driving FWD for the past couple of years. I am signed up for the ER event and the Pro Solo event as well. That being said, with the Pro Solo event being a national event will they get upset event though I don't expect to be competitive if I show up on a set of 180 tread-ware tires?
Here is my fastest run (or most of it). This was with the tighter entry into the S with a shift to 3rd.
On another note, I really liked the RE-71R's, but wish I could have gotten the 255's. My only complaint is that I had a lot more understeer than I'm used to. I don't know if they need more camber, or what...

IMO you could have carried more if you didn't try to run so tight. It also looked like you scrubbed a lot of speed to make the turn around because you were tight on the corner entry after the S.
