Have you road tested the li'l sucker yet??
Just finished installing it and road testing it.
Construction: Scoop itself is plastic of course and has some flexibility. The rod and bug guard are also plastic. I assumed they were metal. Time will tell how durable it will be. The rod is not tightly mounted to the scoop. There is play but that may be an intended part of the design.
Initial installation: Pretty easy. Clean the area where you will be putting the adhesive fasteners. I did a bit of measuring to make sure it was centered. Peal away backing and apply. I'd suggest not installing/uninstalling the scoop a lot for at least 24 hours to allow the adhesive to cure.
Installing scoop: I lubricated my rubber seal with some silicone spray. Installation is a bit tricky IMHO but I hope it gets easier with time. I assumed the rod would easily slip to the bottom of the seal. I have to saw it back and forth to seat it. Once seated the fasteners snap in place with a snapping sound. A tug on the scoop assures it's snug and the sides should be flush around the windshield header.
Uninstalling scoop: Easier than installing it. Pull plastic tabs that have the fasteners attached. Twist up and the scoop easily slides out of the rubber seal.
Performance: As advertised. Granted the temps right now are perfect as is but the scoop did as advertised directing air to the footwells. You really begin to feel it above 30mph but a light breeze is felt at as little as 10mph. I took it on the freeway at 80mph and the breeze was by no means annoying.
Sound: Even at freeway speeds, wind noise increase is minimal.
I'll be really interested to see how it performs in August but right now it seems fine.

Can't wait!!!!!
Bring mine to Merv's :)
Maybe we can have a mass installation there.
Are you going to the parking lot tonight... I'll pick mine up there.
If someone is bringing them to Mervs let me know. I am not going to be able to make it the Mervs, but I live very near to 20/377 so we could meet at the Mcdonalds there. If anyone can do that PM and we will plan details.
My car's supposed to be ready tonight sometime... so if it's not too late, I'll swing by the lot on the way home. Otherwise, let me know if I can pick up my Breeeeeeze sometime before next Wednesday...
I'm not sure If I'm going to make it up there tonight. I didn't finish the radio last night due to a mis-calculation. I'm finishing up putting the radio in my car. I needed to have a spacer made for the speakers to fit. 8" hole vs. 6 1/2" speaker, needs a little something to grab ahold of you know ;-). If its not to late I'll try to make it up there; but I wouldn't count on it.
So, I might have to pick mine up at Mervs as well. :-\
Got mine after work today.
Thanks Blackroadster!
Don't think they will be making it out to Merv's, as there was nobody there tonight that is going to Merv's to take them.
I guess I will have to come out to a Wed meet to get mine :( All to save a buck. :(
I would go but dont want to pay the troll toll on 121...lol
Sorry Guys. :(
I had planned to go to Merv's but the wifey nixed that idea as we are planning my daughter's 1st B-Day party for Sunday and she didn't want me gone all day. Merv's place is two hours one way for me. Normally not a big deal but we have last minute stuff to do before the big day.
Magma has offered to bring the scoops to work with him. He works in Los Colinas so it is about half way there. If this will work, let me know and I can get the scoops to him tomorrow night. You can pick them up from his work by Friday.
You can PM him for directions.
As for the locals, I have them in my trunk. We can work out a time to get them. I'll be there next Wednesday night or pick up in McKinney (home) or Plano (work)
Sorry I couldn't make it last night to pick it up... I had to fight Onething's employer's product last night. Ceiling fan in the living room decided to spontaneously combust so I got to rip it down FAST and find why it did it.
Dunno why... I don't mind (and actually like!) repairing monitors in arcade games where voltages reach 30kv but I DO NOT like playing with electrical wires in the house.

Yeah, a side job came up and I need to work on it on Sat. If any westies want to get them from me in Las Colinas I am at 114 and MacArthur. I will be here from 9-6 tomorrow and could even scoot to Irving if needed to meet up with someone
black roadster, I'll come by your house tomorrow afternoon. What time will be best for you? I'll be going to the ER autocross on Sunday, for sure, and I hope Merv's on Saturday. I can deliver the autocrosser's breezes.
That sounds good to me. I wont be going to the autoX but I can meet cone cerned somewhere along his route and pick it up, either sunday or Sat.
I still have several scoops left that haven't been delivered. I'll be at the Wednesday night meet. I hope some of you can come get your scoops Wednesday night.
Otherwise, let's make arrangements to get them to you.
Tarrant county folks, please let me know when you get your scoops from either Majik or cone-cerned so I can update the initial post.
I will be there Wed. to get mine ;-) I thought I was going to get mine over at Mervs :( but I forgot to ask about them.
Five scoops are still in my trunk.
A few have contacted me but still waiting on the others.
Let's get these scoops people! ::Rant::
Cone-cerned delivered my scoop today. :D
