No wise cracks from the peanut gallery. If you aren't going to Hallett you can't talk. :burnrubr:
Now is 90% chance of rain on Fri! :-(
Track time in the rain? Perfect learning environment.:)
But the really important stuff: Trip Adviser Sands Springs Restaurant list:

Great learning opportunity, lousy way to spend a weekend you've waited a year for. :(
If it rains all day Friday, we may find a new Aquaman. Ashley won't be there to defend his title.
Friday will be car control day.
Saturday will be one of those postcard, glorious, day after a cold front in the Fall never forget days. :)
It'll be OK.
Don't forget to BYOB for Saturday's banquet.
awww hell yeah, time to bust out my cooler...
Totally forgot to bring tools home from work today, so I'll have to stop in at work in the morning to grab a couple of things. Also I left my wheel lock key in my tool box by accident, so I REALLY need to drop by so I can grab that... ughhhhhh
We had a great time today. I got down to a 1:34.6 in the AM sessions, but then my clutch malfunctioned. Glad I have a trailer! I might have found more time in the warmer afternoon, but we'll never know. I still drove Avarice's car one session on the PM, which is pretty much the same as mine. I also drove another friend's all stock 1990, with 185mm tires and all! It was fun going back to stock.
Good times. Good times.
Ditto, had a great time! And, when I got back to my friend's place in Tulsa, his neighbor threw me the keys to his 580 whp Viper. :)http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14...b124ad0c96.jpg
Well, How was it? Where's all the bragging? What was the carnage? Where are the pictures?
Good times. Did it both CCW and CW. Friday was in the wet. First session was like ice. Saturday was a gradually clearing cold front day with highs in the low 60s. Good temperature for Rivals, too bad both rears are flat-spotted.
Managed a 1:32.4 going CCW. Best lap is #6 starting around 7:50 (I'm chasing Neal Bellamy for most of this):

And, here's the obligatory off at Turn 1 on the last session of the weekend (the hot pit guy and I have a good laugh about it):
1995 Miata Big Off at Turn 1 Hallett (9/13/2014) - YouTube
Unfortunately, I hurt the engine on the 4-2 downshift at turn 2. 949 Racing's 95R lost an engine at Hallett 2 years ago the same way. Basically, it's a money-shift setup and, in my case, I bent some intake valves. My compression is 50-160-70-175. Leakdown shows 15% on #4 and the rest can't even be measured. Air is blowing out the intake valves big time. Head rebuild (with Supertech valve springs this time) coming up.
Bragging? How about cold hard facts: no miata was greener, no miata had a bigger wing. I was in a class of my own ;).
I hadn't driven on the track in 2 years and had never been to Hallett before. Love the track. Perfect for a normally aspirated miata. I forgot to turn on my lap timer for all but 2 sessions. So I can say I at least ran a 1:36.70. I can only assume I pulled off one or two sub 1:30 laps on those non-timed sessions... ;)
Thank you gentlemen.
