Let's have a good Miata turnout for this new venue. It would be nice if we could run this site with other clubs, assuming it's a good site for AX.

Anyone figured out which parking lot at the ballpark they plan to run with a google map overview please.
I hate to miss this event but will be in New Braunfels at a family reunion. Drinking, eating and floating the river is not a bad alternative. :chug:
Love to go but I will be out of town! :-( Wish the other clubd, i.e. S2K will using this site. It really save a lot gas and time from goinh to Mineral Hell!
I hope to be there. I'd like to see the new venue.
I just registered
event info says "We are driving at the Ballpark in Arlington, Lot J, north end of ballpark parking next to Copeland Road."
Copeland Rd looks like the south side service road of 30
according to map on the Ranger site Lot J is immediately west of and adjacent to the park itself

JRJ, you know those guys. Find out which lot it's on.
Here is what they said:
"The lot we are using is Lot F, located at the corner of East Copeland Road and Convention Center Drive. You can look at a picture on Google maps, but the picture is a bit out of date. They just rebuilt the whole west end of the lot, and it has all brand new pavement. Much bigger, and smoother."
He said he will also try to chime in.
I'd really like to make the event -- it would be my first PCA event ever -- but I have another commitment on August 10th. :(
Ok.. I am here.. who has questions about the event?
Here is the lot.

It is much nicer than this picture. The whole west end has been repaved, the trees and islands removed, and the lot extended to the road that is to the west.
The blacktop is brand new. We will be the first group to use it, and this is even before the Rangers use it for parking. Even the parking space lines have a reflective grit embedded in them, so they aren't slick like paint. We have the whole lot, from convention center drive all the way to the road on the west.
This is going to be fun!!! :burnrubr:
Advice...Keep a close eye on the surface during the event if it is brand new. I know back East, we lost a few lots cause they were not cured enough (or were of poor quality to begin with) to handle the abuse of R compound tires and dug up pot holes. The lines are something else to keep an eye on. That stuff is $$$$$$.
Have to protect those good sites as much as possible. Good luck. Wish I could be there.
The lot has been paved for over 3 months, and the Texas sunshine should have it cured by now. The ballpark management would not let us have the lot until the pavement had cured.
