The much-anticipated, high-performance variant of the Pontiac Solstice roadster will be unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show, packing turbo power as we predicted six months ago (News, July 11, 2005).
A 2.0-liter, turbocharged direct-injected four-cylinder making 260 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque will power the Solstice GXP. Look for the boosted Pontiac in showrooms this summer as a 2007 model—at a $4,000 to $5,000 premium over the naturally aspirated Solstice.

What's silly about that? Please tell me where else I can find a brand new, 400hp , convertible sports car with a two-year warranty for just over $40k. A C6 convertible is the closest thing I can think of, and it starts at $52,690.Quote:

You can get one cheaper than that if you act semi interested, I went and drove one during my "never ending" car search. As the guy at the Pontiac dealer said, "they are not a big mover" The one I looked at had been at the dealership for 6 months (The inspection Sticker gave it away ;) )Quote:

If you're gonna launch on R compounds or drag slicks with any hp, then you need something like a total built solid axle rear with upgraded axles/wheel studs.
