What is this rain you speak of?
Todd? Are you trying to autocross again?
::Banana::

According to this... http://www.town-mall.net/community/texas_lakes.html EVERY lake in the area is LOW. We need the rain BAD. Hopefully the poor people in Austin and SA will get LOTS OR RAIN.
I had the joy of scoring a 1994 duramax with 330k miles, a bad alignment, and no AC to pull my miata in the downpour last night. It was non-fun.
Crap... its back, starting at just about the same time it did yesterday. :(
Yeah, this is totally weak. Nothing like driving a ~300whp miata in standing water.
Didn't Titus go out of town?? So it should stop raining today shouldn't it??
Some of the lakes are now in the GREEN. Lake Arlington is up +2 feet.
Im glad for the rain and happy and all, but I have a brand new robbins top on the frame sitting in my living room because my top install got rained out. First thing when I sat in my car this morning...squish.
My freaking seats and carpet are completely saturated, my old leather steering wheel is literally melting in my hands and dropping chunks on my pants, and the car smells like total ass. My door buzzer and interior light kept turning on on the freeway this morning, my guess is the stupid top leaked bad enough to get water in the door switch. Man if the sun doesn't start shining again soon my interior is going to have it's own ecosystem.
Why couldn't this torrential rain have started NEXT week. ::BaHump::
We still need more here in Austin. It was raining for the first session at H2R on Saturday but was pretty dry by the third one.
Jiggerachi, my top leaks a bit as well. A cockpit cover helps:

These are also great in the summer, keeps it cool without needing to put the top up.
Chris
I put steel brakelines in last weekend, and was waiting for my brake pads to come, so my car is still on jackstands so I can do brake pads. Been waiting to do them since Friday. Sucks.
So I basically have tonight and thursday (out of state Tuesday and Wednesday) to get a 3.63 rear end in the car, new diff bushings, road tune the car, fix unexpected problems with the new hot-parts, install brake duct collectors, install nutstraps in the seats, tune on the dyno at 7PM and leave at am for Hallett Friday morning. I actually think I can do it.
If anyone wants to help, I'll buy dinner and beer.
Boxstoberfest was 3 days in the rain and 900 miles of fun driving. Would have preferred dry conditions but no one slowed done much! Love those Hill Country roads.
