Yeah, take a look at the post in this same section called "fs: 1999 Miata"
also all the 99s listed on the for sale section are to nice to destroy, not looking to gut perfectly good all oem miata
Jeff, based on what you're looking for (good body and drivetrain, bad interior) you might want to haunt the SpecMiata classifieds. Occasionally good donor NBs show up, but they seem to be in high demand as the NB is becoming more popular than the NAs as a SpecMiata.
i have been looking at some specs but everything i see cost 10k+
Here you go, not going to get much cheaper than these

How much cheaper are you looking for? $4k for a 1999 Miata that is even running seems pretty cheap to me, and I wouldn't classify either of these as turds (they look like they are worth every penny). If $4k is too much, how much are you looking to spend? My guess is there aren't any '99s out there that are actually running for $2.50 if that's what you are waiting for...
oh weight let me transmulate into jeffanese: u dont no wat yer looken four does he? :punchout:
I know your checking craigslist.
Did you see this one for $3500?

Comes with an extra top which you could sell easily.
Seems to be the cheapest one I've seen so far.
I'm searching for a reasonably priced 90-93 Mariner Blue and people want more for those than what this '99 is going for.
I'll keep my eyes open for you if I see any '99s come up.
Mike, i assume you saw this smurf.

Yup, I emailed the guy last night.
But thank you. The more eyes looking might help in the search.
Kestrel, 4k is to much for a base model and i have seen those 2 postings and talked to both owners,.
http://dallas.craigslist.org/dal/cto/1434391637.html this guy i emailed a month ago and he just emailed me back this morning. he is out of town tell late dec and i'm going to look at it then unless i find better.
there are a bunch of 99-00 on clist but most people think they are worth 10k and they have been posted for months now for that reason.
I think Kestrel is correct. All those 99 in $4K range are usually dogs! For one with healthy power plant with less than 100K miles, and a decent body, you have to go up to $5-6K range. It will be a real TCB if you find one for $3.5K.
I just sold mine with 65k miles, 2 sets of mint wheels with new tires, new top, 600 dollar radio setup for 6400... I gave it away so I know you can find em
I have a faded red 99, IIRC its shows a little over 100k miles..........rod is out the side of the block, top no good, 5 speed, leather interior so it has a Torsen, clean title, one small dent on the right fender, bone stock. $2500
I still have this 99 stick shift. It runs great, no issues, 142k, $3800.

1999 85k miles - $3500 no problems other then door scrapes. is what i have found but have to wiat for the guy to get back to dallas to show it to me.
there was a 99 100k w/ hardtop and rollbar for 3500 a few months ago and i was a few min to late on emailing him. only problem the car had was flat black spray can paint job.
artur1976 i'll think about it. your car has more miles then i would like and an open diff
Rods inside the motor do cost more......:D
otherwise its a non-ragged on original car. You guys have fun.
