I'm not thrilled with any of those choices, but I'd have to go with the Ford... I'll take a Vauxhall VXR8, though...
Speaking strictly from the outside, I went Dodge. Personally, the none of the interiors did much for me from the few times I've seen them.
I had a rental Camaro last week and I wasn't really impressed. The ergonomics and visibility were horrible. It felt more claustrophobic than a Miata :(
That said, it was quite a looker. It is amazing how many good comments and attention you get driving around in one.
If I was to own one, it would be the Stang.
I voted for the Stang. I can't stand the fact that the other two are so huge and overweight. In fact, I parked next to a Camaro today and was shocked - shocked, I say! - at how ginormous the thing was. So, live axle be damned, the Mustang has the most appeal.

Well, based on what these cars are, I picked (and would) the Challenger. It's bloated and boaty and all that, and really just feels like a concrete destroying house on wheels. I think it's closest to the muscle cars of the era, I think it looks better, and the interior isn't as weird as the Camaro. The Mustang would be the better daily driving experience (parking) I'm betting, but I'd still rather drive the Challenger every day. If the SRT8 is in the mix, I'd definitely be on it as opposed to the others. The Camaro would be last every time with me.
I'd like the SSR Chevy Truck, please.
What about the Ford GT?? Different category I know but it is retro. And the GT40 did have plenty of muscle, though more lean muscle.
Out of the 3 I would pick the Challenger. Not because I particularly like the new chalenger but I dislike it less than the others. But really the Mustangs would probably perform better, but it's still a mustang.
Call me crazy, but I like the Ford GT90 concept. The most-recent GT is nice, but I think a lot of the GT40's tautness is lost in translation - the wheels look especially clunky.

If I was going to get a new "muscle car" I'd get the Mustang at a bare minimum the GT model my dream would be the Super Snake :D I think Ford did the best job blending Old and New into the new mustang. IMO it's the best looking. And I can't speak for the Challenger though I like that car too but the Camarro is built in Canada and the Mustang is built (assembled) here in the US. Generally country of origin isn't a big deal to me but if I'm buying an "American Muscle Car" it better damn well be built in the US. Not sure where the Challenger is built though so can't comment there.
Have you never heard of the Auto Pact? Surely you've heard of NAFTA then. Good luck trying to distinguish between Canada and US built vehicles. Not just the VIN's first digit; the component parts are going to be tricky.Quote:

Ford all the way! I first lusted after seeing a brand new 1963 Cobra on the local showroom floor in Lancaster, PA, when I was 13. It had the optional webers(306HP) and was....can you believe this....$7200! I have a huge red one here in my office, next to Speedie, so almost any replica is fine with me, but the one I would prefer was made by Arntz. Next was a 1967 Mustange drag pack, so just about any of the "bullit" or Shelby style retro's would be nice. Ford had so many awesome muscle cars in the sixties that I would love to have today. In the seventies, Chevy stepped up with some very special Camaros and Vettes, of which I owned two, but this new one is just a pig(heavy). Never owned a hemi, except for my current truck, but had a friend with a 69 hemi Road Runner in the early 70's and a neighbor in Southlake that had had two hemi's in his garage; a Super Bird(Daytona). The new one is just like the Camaro(pig2)!

As a Mopar fan and someone who intensely dislikes strut suspension, my default pick would be the Challenger. Especially since you can now have the 3rd-Gen Hemis punched out to a genuine 426 cubic inches. Yeah, do want. I do wish it weren't about the size of a school bus, though. Then again, the original Challengers were also bigger and heavier than other pony cars too.
But the Mustang is probably a better car overall, even if it does have about the worst suspension architecture you'll find on anything made today. And in 2011, they'll be putting what appears to be a version of Ford Racing's 5.0L "cammer" engine in the GTs, with around 415hp on tap. That's the engine the GT always should have had in my book. Maybe I can forgive struts and a live axle this once for a car that seems to offer quite a lot of performance for the money. Maybe.
