sounds like Racelands with the highest rate springs they can handle are the ticket for you.
I have teckico springs to lower my car and stiffen just need good struts. I was looking at the http://www.gomiata.com/tokilperfron.html as stuts to get. But I was checking to see if anyone has some that are good to sell for cheaper than that ha.
Tokico sorry
Illumina's or Bilsteins are the way to go.
I have agx's and at 8 they are pretty stiff then turn them down to 1 and it's like a caddy!!
For budget shocks I would go for Bilsteins or Koins. The Koins sports are nice because the have rebound adjustment that work, but they ofter start leaking at the adjustment knob and need to be rebuilt at some point. I don't know anything about the Racelands.
Money no object, I want these bad boys. My first mod if I ever go to STR.
+1 for KYB AGX as a bang-for-the-buck TCB solution. A lot of people on this board used to run them for cheap autocross shocks. I've ran them on my daily driver for 4 years, and autocrossed on them for a season. I don't think you can get decent shocks for any cheaper than these. Check ebay, they had the best price when I got mine.
Like BigSrtTurbo said, they range from soft to very stiff, 8 way adjustable for NAs, paired with good springs they will perform very well(I have 325/250lb FM springs, good match for them). You will get better performance with Konis, but they're a little more price wise. AGX works great for someone who wants cheap performance without putting crap shocks on thier car.
I'm looking for great track ones and I don't want to spend more than 500 on suspension. I need something that will last and take several track session, also as a daily.
I'd go with koni on an NA for the adjustable spring perch. Gives you flexibility to get the height where you want it.
On those Koni is its 135 for all four?
No, that's per shock. If that's too expensive, what's your budget? Cheaper than that would be used bilsteins, another set of AGX, or a set of racelands.
The springs you have now are not "stiff" springs anyway. If you want a low budget setup that will be "stiff," here you go:

Not sure how long these last. A lot of people at ClubRoadster seem to enjoy them...
Ok thanks
If your budget is under $500, I don't think you can beat the Racelands. If you can do $500, get the Struts mentioned above. If you can get closer to $1000, the choices get very high-quality.
I recommended the Racelands to Jon. The Tokico springs are junk, they are super soft and are too low for a lot of people (though I don't think so).
Once upon a time those racelands were only $250 or maybe even $200... I guess all the positive user reports drove prices to the $319 mark.
if you want stiff, cut the springs and ride on the bumpstops. if you want something that handles decent and is cheap, consider a koni or bilstein setup. Don't even waste your time with the ricelands. Savington on miataturbo did one track day and some street driving with the racelands and they were blown in a few weeks.
How low do the racelands sit? Bc I'm about to order them
Oh damn well I might go with the koni then ha
They are 1,000 dollars man!! Ha I don't have that I'm not well in my career. I just started haha
Koni sports = $619.19 shipped. Might be cheaper with more looking. That was the first link that popped up.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/KONI-...90458656846QQp
KYB AGX = $389 shipped. Not the best, but probably worlds better than racelands.

Either one of these looks like you will need better springs.
GC coilover springs = $400 shipped. Again the first link that popped up. They come in custom spring rates, research before you buy.

Tein Basic coilover system = $787 shipped.

Flyin Miata suspension packages, starting around $730.

Do more research than this. Point is, there are options out there for a decent suspension, brand new under $1000, under $500 is going to be tough, but possible. Me I got my FM springs used off Miata.net, for I think around $150, paired them with those cheap AGXs off ebay for less than $500 total. I've seen used, custom rate ground control coilover springs selling for cheap on a few forums. I was broke for most of my life, just means you gotta look around a little harder for good deals. Have some cash in hand and search the FS forums on Miata.net and ClubRoadster.net, there's a few others as well, great deals pop up occasionally.
Thanks alot man
My budget suspension was pretty cheap too, I went used.
R-package Bilsteins - $200
First gen FM springs - $50
FCM bumpstops - $60
NB tophats (rear) - $45
If you take the time to find used parts you can save some serious green. I paid a little less than $400 for everything after all was said and done.
Anyone have some used struts they want to sell? That are not factory ha
For those who are curious, Jon prefers Bilsteins.
Ha yes thank you matt
I think a member here said he was running Racelands, Luis?? Louis? Something like that.
I'm just going to buy some used struts till later when I have more time for track
I have a full factory susp setup with ur choice of DNA springs ( 1.5 drop) or stock springs or eBay coilovers with the stiff springs all brand new exept the stock springs pm if ur interested
Ohh and the shocks have less than 600 miles on them!!!
Anyone have bilstien struts that they want to sell? Preferably used.
