Dang that sucks... is everybody okay out there? Sounds like the tornado here in Garland went just south of my hood. I never saw it, and only got rain and some tiny hail. Whew...
North side of dfw airport had golf balls and some baseballs... I fear for the roof of the VW.
That storm passed over my house at Hebron and 121. Won't know about damage until I get home in about an hour.
Damn, Samm! Such a nice car. Glad it was just material damage. We did a little better in SW Ft. Worth. And it isn't over yet.
Got some golf ball to baseball at 121/I35 luckily we have covered parking but some poor people that didn't park under it got smashed. Tons of broken front/rear windows and severely dented panels. It sounded like machine gun fire for about 15 minutes.
We had a bad cell heading right for us but it fizzled out 10 miles away. I had Richardson Auto glass out here at the time replacing the Miata's windshield and I asked him if he wanted to take shelter and come back tomorrow. He said "No, I need to do this now... I'm going to be working 16 hr days for the next few weeks replacing hail damaged glass."
The POSIV got hit in Euless but it doesn't look as bad as I thought it was going to be.
Was one heck of a storm.
For once, got to work early and got the only tree-covered spot. I think I escaped the damage. Not so sure about the house yet.
No visible damage to the house I can find. No leaks in the roof.
Will still have it checked to make sure.
We were in SW Fort Worth during the bad part, only saw pea sized hail. When we got home to Woodbine, everything was fine. I think we got just a little rain, no hail or wind damage.
Sorry to hear that some of your loved cars got the unpleasant surprise from mother nature. It wasn't even forecasted on the weather channel! My best friend and I were playing a video game together when the hailing begun. We both grabbed the thickest jacket within reach, pulled it over the head and ran to rescue of our cars( pull them into covered spots). Gladly damage on both cars were very minor, thanks to our efforts.
Yeah mine got hit too. Looks like I'm missing some paint from the hardtop.
Really sorry to hear about some of your misfortunes. :( Very pleased that no one seems to be posting about tornado-damaged homes and/or injuries.
If I had know it was coming I more than likely could had both cars in the warehouse. I heard the tornado sirens and I grabbed my keys but it was already too late. Just stood at the front door and watched the poor POSIV getting pelted. :punchout:
Note to self - Need to buy weather radio for the world headquarters.
If any one needs some PDR, I have a buddy that is in business for himself. He pull out ~550 dents out of my wife RX330 last year when we had all the hail and you cant tell anything ever happened with out doing any paint work. Guy is and artist with dents, very high quailty work, and very fair for cash jobs.
Name is Doug Bagwell. (214) five seven seven 8580. Tell him you got his number from John at Lexus and he will hook you up.
My Si was also hit at work just south east of DFW. Had hail between golf ball and baseball. Few dents on hood and roof. Also found out my new passenger door (someone hit it in the parking lot; picked it up saturday) is not water tight! No damaged glass but I saw many who weren't so lucky.
The main cell that kicked Arlington's ass came right over the office but dfw airport's top secret anti tornado gun stopped it before it hit us. Tornado started just north of here.
Fixed it for you. :D

Picked this one up in our front yard in Euless.
Luckily I had taken the day off to take my kids to drs appts earlier. Got home just in time to cram the Miata in our tiny garage. My other cars got hit last year so I didn't care, but it would have trashed the tin can Miata.
My company here in Coppell got hit worse. 3 people I know got back windows or windshields smashed in our parking lot.
Sorry to hear about all the damage. Glad to hear that no one was hurt.
We watched on of the Garland tornados skip through just east of the plant. It was kind of surreal - my team works in a huge windowless concrete bunker and we have a 1/4 million pound machine on the floor that we could take shelter under so we weren't particularly worried about being hit, so mostly we just stood at the bay doors and watched.
Lots of stories from the guys I work with, but the kids in my class in Lancaster got to stand out back and watch our nader rip through Lancaster and Desoto. Some are from the far west and had never seen one before.
All good at my house. Hope everyone with damage is covered.
My hood and trunk are bad. My hood took the worst of it
I was IN one of the airplanes on the runway at DFW when it hit. The pilot was given clearance to take off but he waived off, not liking what he saw at the end of the runway. We got it good sitting there, luckily on the ground. Needless to say, I am still here. If you want to experience what is like, sit in a 55 gallon drum, give your 100 worst enemies each a ball peen hammer and call them a bunch of names... you have it. Not going to help American Airlines get out of bankruptcy though.
For all you who got damage, Groupon to the rescue!

Yikes, missed that. Unless you only have 5 dents, its BS.
We had about 30 folks at work loose windshields. A couple lost tail light assemblies, as well. My '94 isn't exactly aesthetically pleasing from the golf ball-sized dings. No home or personal damage, though, thankfully.
That plane situation sounds pretty scary/deafening!
Got my car PDR'd yesterday...Chris at Discount Dent Repair did a great job! Thanks Jo-Jo for the contact info.
The PDR guys are having a great year.......
