Eagles Canyon Monthly Track Day

Every month Eagles Canyon ECR will be having a track day with instructional help for novice. Cost is $150 and includes 4 track sessions. This is not a Track Dog Racing event but we are promoting the monthly event and will be there to support all the Miata people that come out for a good time.

Does not matter if this is your first track day or you are an advanced driver and pull your car on a trailer, lots of good track time. Novice will have instructors to ride with and class room between sessions. Intermediate can request an instructor and advance for faster and more experienced drivers. This is not a Miata only event, but would be nice to be the majority group.

ECR has a restaurant so you can have lunch there. They also have gas there as well. About 30 min. from Denton. Directions at the website.

Go to http://www.eaglescanyon.com and then go to the top and click FORMS. Click "ECR Track Days Application" and FAX to the phone number on the form. Doing this will help them determine what class to put you in. You can Pay them when you get there in the morning. Also print out "ECR Car Safety Inspection Form (required for ECR Track days)". Fill out this form for yourself to self check your car for track readiness.

You should try to be there around 8:00 at the latest. If you don't Fax your form you could also call in and or just show up, they would be glad take your money.

Had a great time instructing at ECR today. Its a blast to see someone figure it out and gain a ton of time. Best part was the brand new Ariel Atom I got to drive and instruct. That car blows away any of the Lotus 7 or stalkers I've driven, in terms of drivability and fun. First car I've driven since my NC that I instantly wanted to own after 5 minutes behind the wheel. The K24 motor is amazing.

I got to remind myself how much I love RS3's today, what a great tire. Even crusty old ones.

The day started off a bit cool but warmed to a great day. Great to see everyone enjoying the track.

Good to see Doug, Gary, Jo, Michael, and Bob. Not sure how I missed seeing Trey and Wags. Next time I'll be in the miata.

Sorry to miss Chris; holy shit my car is fast.

Yeah, the car is more fun than it's ever been and corners and brakes with more precision than any car I've ever driven. I didn't know it was possible to make a car feel like this.

Hope more of you show up at the next event, it would be nice to have Miata's as the biggest group. The largest group were Mustangs, but no contest for the Dog, we put them in there place. Probably the sweetest car for me was the Trans Am Camaro, what a sound. Listening to the sequential shifting as it went by was mesmerizing.

Maybe next time, get your car ready!

I love watching the $40-100k of iron in front of me light-up the brake lights, then stay in the throttle another 100-300' before braking. Its easily better than any horsepower I ever had.

I plan to be there on the 21st to instruct.

What surprised me the most was the sound of the Aston Martin. It was loud, I didn't expect that.

Agreed, the AM sounded great, but pretty loud at WOT.

My wife just informed me that May 11 is Mothers Day. I told her she was not my Mother. OK, that was a mistake.
Got the OK and Chris and I will be there. Yea!

my car is on jack stands. at this point I have 3 options. barrow my gfs stock STI that super understeers, lap the tdi or bring wheels with nt-01 and offer gas money as a bribe to co drive someone's miata.
