I'll get that done and take some pretty pictures either tonight, or tomorrow....
You going to bring it out to play at Pennington on the 18th?
Yes, please do!!! :bounce: Even if you decide not to participate in the "standing around all day so I can take three 30second runs" fun , we'd all like to take a closer look at your new toy.Quote:

are the sparcos any thinner? The cockpit on these NB's is awfully tight :D
And yeah, I think I can arrage to make it out to Pennington... 18th? That leaves me 10 days to get a few good miles on it and an oil change...
What do you guys think as far as a conservative break in? Right now I'm telling myself no full throttle and under 5000rpm for teh 1st 500 miles. Change the oil to full synthetic and then start increasing the revs...
Need to get some Numbers for this too... Wonder what class I'll run in? Think it's safe to claim BS 42?
The Sparco Roadsters are thinner and lower... but they don't recline. Gary S. has them on his car (click here), and the look and feel great -- a lot more lateral support for... ah,er,um... spirited driving. :wink:Quote:

well the bolsters on these seats are more substantial than any otehr miata seat I've sat in... Good thing I'm a skinny guy :)
I'll investigate, but that might be a bit down on the list...
I'm not as worried about the 42.. I've already got those. I'm pretty sure either 2, 4 , 24 or 42 will be available... Just want to make sure I get the right letters..
No clue if I'll be compeditive, might take me awhile to get used to shifting so much, but I'll sure have a blast in the process..

heh... I'm trying to be a bit nocer than that to my car.. and I knew that.. that guy is on the "pointy board"
So how'd it do out there?
He did pretty good but the POS was able to get around him a couple of times. Which did a lot for my ego! :afro:Quote:

He drove one handed the whole time. I got a ride in it for a session. Seemed pretty quick in the straights, not quite as fast as mine.
The suspension definatly rocked though.
Chris
what tires were you guys running on out there?
POS=AzenisQuote:

hmm.. any clue how far behind the Azenis the Toyo T1-S is? :)
They are awfully sticky for a street tire, but I'm used to V700s for tracks time & such...
Hmm... what to autoX on..
Spent most of the day cruising around... almost 300 miles and counting.. Heading to Dallas tonight, shoudl be good for some more :D
Azenis, 28PSI and 26PSI respectively.
One guy from Austin had a set of Neovas on his FM2, they're supposed to be even better than Azenis.
Chris
I had azenis as well. They seemed to stick fairly well, maybe a little greasy after 8 laps or so...
Mine got kinda greasy almost 3/4 of the way through, depending on how much traffic I would get.
I let em warm up through the entire first lap.
Chris
Pictures of new toys..
ok, not the best shots since it's hiding from sprinkles outside, but here's a couple...

So.... ya' gonna put a lift kit on the MX-5? :-)
nah...
trucks go up, cars go down. ;)
girls.. well... yeah..
What's up with the Jeep? Is it a case of when good projects go bad??
the CJ? That's my roomate's current project... he's a big Jeep guy.. This is his current toy (parked in the street over by my Rx7)
http://www.digitex.net/ecarter/pics/quarry_010.jpg
eventually it'll be a big rock crawler... Right now it's just something to practice welding on :D
rx7gslse - congrats on the new toy! I take it back - the red inserts look a lot better than I thought they would with the Titanium paint. Can't wait to see it this weekend. 8)
As for the 'burb... needs bigger tires or a shorter lift, imho. That's coming from a guy who squeezed 33x12.5 BFG Mud T/As under his stock extended cab Tacoma a few years ago...
thanks!
yeah, I probably could have gone a little bigger... 35s would fit with just a hair of fender trimming, but withe the 3.73's I wouldn't be able to tow jack. Hell, it has enough trouble getting out of it's own way.
And that was the shortest lift that had all new springs instead of just add-a-leaf or blocks. (and all 4 of the old springs were shot, hence the reason for the lift in the 1st place... but enough about that...
I actually like the red.. and the bolsters are great.. much better than on the leather seats.
I'll probably order my M2 Hardcore this week and I'm working on figuring out what to do about gauges.. It needs a boost gauge, but haven't found a way to mount that I'm happy with yet..
Also want a screen or grill to hide the bucktooth intercooler a bit.
I have an extra grille since my 03 came with a billet grille... 8) It was listed in the classified section :clown:
