So is the next project on a different platform or are you still using this car? BTW we met at ECR a few months back as I recoginzed the car from previous owners and was surprised by your lap times. GLWS

John's comment on Facebook was that while he ended up with a really cool Miata, what he was trying to build was an ultra light S2000. Since he still owns an S, I would assume that car will be the basis for the next project. Can't wait to see what he comes up with.

Didn't see ur post until Iain quoted it.

The car was fast and fun, but it doesn't give the excitement or feel as my slower s2000. I decided I wanted an s2000 racecar, so that's what I'm going to build.

But I'm am returning my 00' s2k back to stock to sell. Will have it ready to go in a week.

So you are using a different platform. Then why part out this one, especially given the history?

Probably not that many people with 15-17K cash in hand for the car.

Specially considering most Miata people are cheap. He told me yesterday he plans to use the engine/transmission as a spare for the Racecar he is going to build.

Yep. Very few people with that kind of $$ and the desire to spend it on a track toy.

Nailed it, it would take forever to find a buyer as a whole.

I have over $20k in parts alone in the car. I'm keeping about $7k of stuff to put into my next car that I would have to rebuy anyway. So I only need to make $8k in parts to break even of selling as a whole.

I have tunnel vision of the next project, so I don't want to be waiting on funds for months before I can start.

The custom rear diffuser, would it work with a Beatrush PPF brace? It doesn't look like it would. Have more details on diffuser? (material, welded or riveted together, etc) Thanks!
