I believe the guy that did the Stiffy isn't doing them anymore. I have the KG Works one on my car.

I made my own custom bracket for the plate. It mounts the plate in the middle of the opening in the fron t bumper and then at speed the plate folds down flat to allow better air flow. It was a real inexpensive mod. I will try to post a pic or two tonight. If you like I can give you step by step instructions on how to make and install one of your own.
By the way, I have a never used stock mount from the dealer that I would let go for $10. ::Censor::

I tend to agree. If you are going to have the law, it should be enforced. Unenforced laws are a bad thing in my mind. When everyone knows a law like front plates is not enforced, people become less concerned with following the law. This leads to a situation where cops can always find something to pull you over for when they really don't have probable cause.Quote:

So, all of you guys got pulled over are outside the Dallas county? I hardly get out of the Rockwall, Dallas, Terrant counties. I have never had any hassel from anyone. I try to get by w/o one becuase it really block the air. My car is already running hot (new radiatior/thermostat/hoses) in stop and go downtown traffic!
I guess the Dallas city/county officers are more reasonable and don't believe in good old-fashioned revenue generation.Quote:

I don't believe it to be a revenue making subject, but it does give them probable cause to pull you over. I have had warnings in Denton and near Wylie, so I don't know if target location is an issue either. What I do know is, that I see alot without 'em. I didn't know the fine was $100 or so... that might get a pie pan stuck on the front of mine if that's the case. Now if I can just find the damn thing.

lmao, you've been had if you actually paid. At the least, you should have changed your plea to not guilty, get a court date, and when you show up, tell the prosecutor that you put the plate on. They will either have someone escort you to your car and look for the plate, or, as in my case, drop the whole thing right then and there without even checking for it.Quote:

I drove my car to the courthouse with the plate on, met with the prosecutor in the court room and told her that I had put the plate on. She told me that they were dropping the case and I was free to go. I was surprised because there was another guy there and they had somebody walk with him out to his car to make sure it was really on.
That's kinda what I was hoping to here... bogus law but I'm not a politician. Next, someone will probably come up with some stupid law like you can't paint your car except for the color it came from the factory with or something.....
I just ordered one. Expensive! But it beats paying for a ticket. Now I have to go get a new set of plates, as my car did not come with a front plate. I'll probably get a ticket for no front plate between now and then. :(Quote:
