As promised, Mazda has made available the serial numbers of the cars that were on the "Cougar Ace" in the north Paacific. As I was only interested in two models, thought you might like to know that there are 295 MX-5s. There are also five 2006 MS6's! FYI, got to MazdaUSA.com too see all the Mazda vehicles on the boat.

Actually, I have a call in to Mazda Comp, as there have occassionally been cars available to them for racers. This seems like the perfect way to increase the fleet of Pro MX-5's for next season. I'm hoping, anyway. I wouldn't be able to run the full season, but some would be nice, and these cars should also fit very nicely into Touring 3.
