LSCBMWCCA Night Autocross and Autocross Event #7, 9/12 and 9/13, Mineral Wells

Each year, the BMW club has a night autocross on Saturday night, followed by their normal autocross the next day.
If you are not familiar with the night AX, it is a lot of fun. For the most part, it is not so much an event as a bunch of fun runs. You start in the afternoon while it is still light and make several runs to get to know the course. Then they stop and serve a fantastic homemade meal at the site -- Jeff and Scott are great cooks. After eating, when it is near dark, you walk the course in order to place glow sticks on each cone. One color is for the left side and another color is for the right side. Once it is fully dark, you make you runs with your headlights off -- no corner workers. You will be surprised how far ahead you can look with it so dark. Every now and then, they pause the event in order to pick up cones. It is a good time and a very casual event. Joe Bob says, "Check it out."
They following day's AX is a normal event. You can attend both events or just one. I would be at both if it was not for SCCA Nationals.
