Just want to see what everyone else is running to give me an idea to guide a future purchase . I'm running a Mazdaspeed muffler, magnaflow cat, and a hot air intake, it sounds excellent but just not loud enough for my taste.

Cheap 4-2-1 OBX header, high flow cat, Enthuza cat back with Borla muffler. Registers about 85 dB at the SCCA autocrosses.
On the track, I am fearless.
If you were as slow as me, you wouldn't be afraid either.

I'd explain this to her, but she'd not get it.

I'm stock but about to take delivery of a modified Raceland header with flex section and vband, 2.5" vband catalytic converter, 2.5" vband midpipe with 18" Magnaflow resonator and a 5"×11"×22" dual outlet magnaflow muffler with turn down tips custom made by ARTech.

Whats the general consensus on the knock off headers like the OBX or Riceland ones? and how is the fitment with the NB?

Not sure about the NB's fitment, but the 4-2-1 is a PITA to get in an NA. Better off with a 4-1 in that case.

Riceland is fine, unless you're looking for that extra tenth on the track or autocross, and even then it's up for debate.

Newer NB's 01+ have a nice OEM header.

MAF delete, fleabay intake can ducted through a hole above the clutch master cylinder, wrapped JR 4-2-1 header, OEM cat that one or two of the cells fell out, Borla single tip cat back.

I love the sound, loud enough but matches with the ducted intake, sounds like an old roadster should. Of course when I installed the megasquirt and exhintake cam it changed the sound a bit.
I tried a test pipe cat delete but it sounded like a civic, so I put the cat back on before anyone else heard it.

I loved the sound of my previous Borla cat-back. It was just too heavy for my current needs. So is my belly, really.

Cheaper headers do the job just fine, but often require a fair bit of effort to install since they have greater tolerances. Weld strength can be an issue, but that's a long-term thing, and more than a few high end headers have similar failures. 4-1 headers generally are easier to install, but it still depends on primary routing.

I have a south texas ring tail swamp cat that is downstream from an aussie blue heeler. It can be a bit raspy at times but dislodging the cat usually fixes it.
