    Default FS 1993 STS2 car

    Do the math on this car. Build you own just like it for over $7,000 parts prices (not including some parts or any installing, tuning, misc. supplies) plus donor car price of $3000 to $4000.

    Total of $10,000 to $11,000 not including lots of labor.

    Priced to sell at only $5,500, or half price. Ready to run.

    White with decent tan top, black interior. Northern car. Not a beauty queen but healthy drive train and fast.

    Beat 2006 STS2 National champ in 2006 Regional/Tour competition. Tenths behind Robert Seelig in 2007 SW Divisional competition. Did not run this car at Nationals, ran the Hollis Miata instead.

    Former Craig Mankiewicz car. 2006 STS2L National Champ car.

    Car in Texas. Willing to discuss delivery on my trailer.

    Not street driven. Unknown mileage on engine, but recent leak down and compression test, plus dyno tune prove it is healthy.

    15” x 7” Kosei K1-TS with good shaved Azenis RT615. new $600 for wheels, $250 used tire value

    From Craig’s build, stuff that is now about two seasons old:
    • new Racing Beat header new $450
    • new Mazda cat new $130
    • new Borla stainless cat back exhaust new $450
    • all poly suspension bushings new $400 from MazdaSpeed
    • new Mazda clutch/pressure plate new $250
    • new clutch master and slave cylinders new $125
    • new brake master cylinder new $100
    • all new suspension bolts including new style eccentric adjusting bolts new $45 just for eccentric bolts
    • new Unorthodox Racing crank pulley new $250
    • new plug wires new $75

    Improvements and maintenance in 2007:
    • new timing belt/water pump/cam oil seals/cam tensioners/fan belts/plugs $500 parts and labor
    • dyno tune at Applied Racing Technology $150
    • corner weighting and alignment by Spec Miata specialist to my autocross settings, $200
    • synthetic fluids new $30
    • Jet reprogrammed ECU $400
    • revalved double adjustable shortened yellow Konis with new coil overs & springs new $800 for Konis, $400 for coil over/springs
    • Ultrashield Rally seats (15” and 17”) on factory sliders and ballasted to 25# new $250 each
    • new Crow lap seat belt new $75
    • new front hubs w/ longer studs new $275
    • new rear calipers new $200
    • new brake rotors/pads new $150 pads, $60 rotors
    • new Mazda radiator new $125
    • new coolant hoses (all new $75
    • new SP Induction Systems SPX2 intake new $200, cone filter $50
    • new small battery new $40

    Other stuff goes with the car, including two spare front sway bars, rear bar, spare power steering rack/pump, black soft top in good shape ready to bolt on, set of OEM 14” wheels with junk tires.

    Willing to sell in different configuration to lower price, can do any or all of following:
    • replace SP Induction Systems intake with Racing Beat intake;
    • and/or replace Kosei/Azenis with Rota Slipstream 15” x 7 ½” and good shaved Kuhmo MX;
    • and/or no competition wheels/tires, only OEM 14” wheels with junk tires;
    • and/or one Ultrashield driver seat and stock passenger seat.

    Looks like a killer car! I wish I was in the market for an STS2 car. It looks like a really fun class to run.

    What are the dyno numbers on the car?

    What are you planning on racing now?

    I'll either co-drive next year (got a couple of opportunities) or after I finish building my new home, likely go DP in a Miata

    either this one if it doesn't sell, or buy a donor and start from scratch

    dyno at 106 on ART's dyno that typically reads much lower than others

    don't remember the types/brands of dynos, but several people have commented that ART's reads lower than almost any other
