A motorist who refused to discuss his personal business with a St. George, Missouri police officer was threatened with arrest last Friday. Brett Darrow, 20, no stranger to unconventional encounters with police.

Yep... My local police department put my name in the computer when I was 17 after Dad had a nice talk with the police chief. Funny how I was pulled over weekly before the visit and never again after the visit.

Yeah... my Dad used to tell me that I was exaggerating whenever I would complain about how the local police treated me. Then one Friday night after working late, he was driving home and saw my truck parked at the local McDonald's with me on the tailgate talking with some friends. He pulled in to give me a hard time (like Dads do), and by the time he got parked, a cop had pulled in and started giving me a really hard time. Dad stood about 50 feet away and watched, letting things take there course. The next Monday, he met with the police chief. It's funny... at some point in your early teens, your Dad goes from your Hero to a big PITA. That was the day my dad re-gained his Hero status with me.

Something like that would happen to me. Well.....it sort of did.
My first "moving violation" was when I was 16. A sachse cop accused me of running a red light, taking a turn on 2 wheels, and having a faulty exhaust.
I plead not guilty, went to the city of sachse court 5 or so times, negotiated with the DA and got 16 hours of community service for being a 16 year old with a POS for his first car. The kicker was that none of the cops accusations were true.

Maybe I need to be put on some list, I think I'm up to 11 citations now...

I'm typically not an a$$ to cops but once I was. He asked me were I was going and I said west bound on 820. That got him going and there was no turning back after that. Were did I come from, going, had any thing to drink, smoke snort, bla bla bla. I did not get a ticket though.

I have been pulled over 5 times in my life. The first three were freebies. The last two were Garland and Plano. The Garland cop was legit, no seat belt.
The plano one was IMHO uncalled for. I had my Uncle in the car with me and I was the third car at the light.(15th @ Hwy75). I was behind a high profile van and could'nt see the light until I was under it. I quit buying things in Plano for 5 years due to the ticket. I hope they lost at least as much in sales tax aswhat I spent in the cost of the ticket.

Got pulled over for ~5mph over the limit one night, guy gave me a lecture and then asked why my eyes were so red...

"Well, I just finished up a 16 hour shift in the local ER, and your cruiser has 2 million candlepower blinding me..."

Another guy pulled me over for ~15 mph over at 2am, gave me the lecture & no ticket then kept on lecturing me about how it wasn't safe to speed...

"What am I going to hit? It's 2 am and the road is empty, I haven't seen a car for 1/2 an hour"

"Well there might be a cow on the road."

I got pulled over in Irving for going 83 in a 55, when I wasn't even going 60. I was in the middle lane and was blown past by a van (A-Team looking). I saw the cop sitting in the parking lot (bank right by Krystals), and told my friend "Dude, that guy is so getting a ticket." Sure enough, the cop pulled out, jumped on the ramp and pulled in behind ME!

cop -"Why are in such a hurry?"

me - "I'm not, I was going 60, and it's a 55."

cop - "I clocked you at 83."

me - "No, you clocked that van at 83."

cop - "What van?"

About this time his partner was shining his light into my car looking around. My buddy had a big mag-light of his own, and he decided he needed to shine it in the officer's face when he did the same to my buddy. After they calmed down and put their pistols away, they went and wrote me my ticket.

cop - "this is your ticket for 83 in a 55....blah blah blah."

me - "ok."

cop - "Tell your buddy to never do that again, cause you might get shot."
