the BS guys are doing fine, it is a really tough field this year

and the surface is very difficult to figure out -- some decent grip on line, but put a wheel wrong by a few inches and you are gone spinning

and the courses are the best I've seen in several years, very difficult to get right and punish you if you are not spot on the line

I was lucky enough to trophy in STS2 in Andy's Miata

when they gave the trophys, I really hurt the average age of the trophy winners, and the average weight

    damn kids are fast !

    Congrats Neal!

BTW, for the guys that are there, people are saying that the A6's work much better on the surface there than the Kumhos. Any truth in those rumors???

    Default Vids from Nat'ls

Here's some vids of the courses for those of you that didn't get to go. These are my fastest runs on each one. I drove well on Wednesday, but not enough to make up for Tuesday's mental mistakes.

    East Course - 45.613
    West Course - 50.170

Miata content - the guy who won E Stock was in a '95 Sport, and he flat stomped us. His times on the east course were only 0.102 off the fastest B Stock times. We'll see how it compares after two days when the B stockers finish up this afternoon. C Stock was won by the 2005 E Stock champ, also in a Sport ('99), ending the speculation about the Soltice/Sky taking over and running off all the Miatas.

Congrats to Gerry Terranova for driving well both days and finishing in the 6th spot in his Miata.
A Z06 is just like a Miata, but with the other half of the motor . . .

Good luck to the B-Stock guys today! That West course is difficult nail perfectly.

For those wondering, grip was good at HPT this year...on par or better than LaGrave. The courses were a bit tricky but rewarding. East course was decent for the Elise. The West course had 1 really long power section which hurt us a little in the Elise. On day 2 I went from 3rd to 5th, Bollman from 4th to 11th, and surprisingly Stuart went from 6th to 13th in the Viper.

Ask me sometime about the protest-rape attempt your car will get in SS if you're an "unknown" at the top.

Just think if it had rained. The bass boat might have won.

Meh. I improved on the second day (top ten time, I believe), but it wasn't enough to make up for my cone on the first day. 20th place sucks.

Lotsa Texas Region folk had some tough times this year. Congrats to Stan W., Madarash, Piper, Kramer, and the others who managed to bring home trophies this year - you earned it!

Can't wait to see the Bass Boat at the next event! Good job Jeremy!

I tried to watch but it hurt my good ear.

How much faster do you think you'd be if the noise didn't make your eyes water to the point of not being able to see clearly?

Congratulations on the outstanding performance under the circumstances

You could try watching it with your good eye. And turning down the volume is another choice.

Maybe a few tenths! (It's quieter inside the car.)

    Thank You. I think?
