Todd, if you are gonna sell the bags you would get more $ if you have the airbag control module also. When the bags blow the module frys itself.....so whoever buys your bags will need the module also. The only problem is you have to pull the dash to get to the module, it is dead center in the middle of the dash at the base of the windshield.

Good information... I will be pulling the dash anyway, so I will package both airbags with the module. Thanks!

Also keep in mind if you ship them, they are considered dangerous goods and an considered explosive. It's expensive to ship DG but if you do not declare it and it gets discovered, it's a federal offense.

Remove the glove box and it becomes as easy as the steering wheel bag.

That is Montego Blue, right? It's difficult to tell from the pics. If it is, I want the front bumper, both front fenders and the hood.

The volume knob is screwed up. I need to research it's repair-ability before I try to sell it.

I don't know if it would work in his car. The Bose is a 'dead head' and requires the amps to work.

Plus the mounting is totally different. His mounts in by way of a bracket with screws and ours mounts like a ford with spring clips.

He'll tell you "they all do that". And he'll be right. And he won't work on it.

It's not an actual potentiometer - it's a rotary switch that just clicks as you turn the knob.

AFAIK, no one has developed a "standard fix", though the PO of my car said he uesd to occasionally pull the knob and shoot contact cleaner into it for a temporary improvement. I found that a cheap aftermarket headunit was a much more effective repair...

Huh. When testing it, I could not get the volume past 3, and it would occasionally go down as I tried to turn it up. Perhaps CM would like to play with it and see if he can fix it.

Don't knock it. I would have much prefered the one that has a screw in bracket. The radio is a lot more secure and less likely to be stolen since it would take the theifs 10 minutes to get it out verses busting up your dask and ripping it out. Of course they will still bust up your dash and slit your top.

that is what is stopping me from getting an aftermarket one and putting some nice speakers in it ... not that i have found a reasonable place to put a sub without cutting or spending too much $$$$

    Check out BlackRoadsters Sub.

The hardest part is getting the center bezel out. There is a hidden screw under each of the vent bezels. It's not that hard. You will need to find a pocket that is a full Dinn size or you could put in a din size Alpine speaker in the place of the pocket. Nissan 1999 Frontier had a full szed pocket as did a lot of the Toyotas. I would try to find a pocket thatcomes from a car manufacturer rather than a Scoche or Metra. They give you a lot more room and look a lot better IMHO.

You can get a wiring harness kit to do all of the wiring out on the bench and all you have to do is plug it in when you are ready. The pocket I got for my nissan was about $15 dealer price. Metra wiring harnesses qre qbout $10-15 usually. Miata.net has the info needed to do this.

Mine did exactly the same. Sometimes you couldn't turn it up, sometimes couldn't turn it down, sometimes you got the opposite of the desired effect...
