Well may be for the best. Just put the R's on the POSIII looks like they may not make it till the end of the season, getting rather thin.

Man I don't want to buy another set of R's to finish the '07 season only have about 20 runs remaining til it's over. My attic collection of R's is dang near gone, just 2 old old ash tires remaining....

We meeting at the Golden Arches Supper Club in the AM??

Yes, but these are real airplanes. Don't get frightened by their size.

7 AM at McDonalds. I will also have a friend named Benjamin joining us. He is driving a Saturn Vue Red Line.

Actually, I think it's more dangerous at the RC field than at the air show.

    Wow! What a frustrating day!

My first run out was pretty fast but sloppy. I cleaned it up and sat in first place for about five minutes with my 49.9 until John came in with a 49.8 and then the General came in with a 49.5 (ended up being the winning run for B-stock). I'm not sure what Koffman ran though.

So I go out for my 3rd run and I'm all over the place, jerking the car around. Just bad driving on my part, but I come back to grid with a CEL.

It wasn't blinking so I asked around with the other BS guys and checked my gas cap. Tried shutting off the car a couple of times and noticed that it was taking longer to crank when starting it back up.

My next run out felt clean and fast but I came in a lot slower than I expected. Thought it might have been the tires overheating, so I watered them before the last run and it didn't help. I just kept getting slower.

After disconnecting the battery and packing up the tires I went to turn the front shocks back down before leaving. I looked down at the plugs and saw that one of the plug wires on the back rotor was hanging free!!! I'd had a problem with one of the front plug wires getting loose and arcing (creating a clicking sound at idle), but this one totally skipped that step and fell off. So I never heard it coming, and I ran my last 2 runs on 3 plugs!!!

Sorry for the long post, but I had to vent. Good driving General!

Congrats to Cosmos for winning Tire class, you were flying out there.

What a long day, good competition in tire though. I think the top 3 ended up within a second and traded positions on last runs. Also good fun to watch the B-stock battle as well, sorry to hear the the Moto-mobile was running crippled the last few runs always frustrating when you drive the crap out of the car and the result isn't what you want.

But at least you know it's not the Hankooks so jrj512 can still buy them next season

Congrats, Cosmos. We were both flying today! See, I knew I had to fear you, and you thought I was crazy.

Off to buy some Hankook R's...

Hey Miatamoto, I made my last 3 runs using all four plug wires and I won my class!

Great job by the General showing the young pups how it's done!

Nice driving your last few runs, the new Si is a pretty capable autocross car and you already got rid of the horrible factory tires so that's good. I was the guy in the black/red interior miata BTW.

Was a great day. 5 runs and home by 4:00. I shaved a little time off each run but it was not enough to challenge the top dogs.
