If it's what I think it is, it's like a Hostess Fruit Pie...

Tonight I found some of your trip reports and just wanted to say great job. I enjoyed reading about some of the previous drives as well are recent drive last weekend and all were great!!!
I would like to point out, however, that even though Fischer's is more of a grocery store, I picked up some of their Bratwurst and Knaukworst and both were excellent! I enjoyed them with some friends at my place on Sunday watching the Cowboys game.
Also, thanks for the tip about Clark's. That's only 45 miles from my house on some of the best roads we encountered all day. I'm pretty sure I'll be taking a drive out there soon just for lunch! I'll let you all know if anyone wants to join.
Anyway, great job organizing these drives and wonderful write-ups afterward. BTW, waht the heck is a fried pie???

Blasphemy! It is almost entirely unlike a Hostess Fruit Pie in that it has:Originally Posted by channelmaniac

Hmmm...still not nearly as convincing as good BBQ to make the drive.Originally Posted by tailchaser

Where you from Hondaboy??? What TC said. Usually fruit filling folded into a pie crust that is then fried. Apricot is best.Originally Posted by photodavo
