Thread: Header for my '99 head swap

Default Header for my '99 head swap

I figure I'll install a header when I do my head swap, but I'm not sure what I should be looking for now. Do I need to adapt an NB header or are 1.8 NA headers compatible with the '99 NB head?

Muchas gracias for any info you guys might have...

If you want it to bolt up to the stock exhaust then you will need to buy a header for an NA. Then the only thing you will need to modify is the EGR tube to fit the NA header.

Ah... so the NB exhaust ports/studs are compatible with the NA header.

How do I need to modify the EGR tube? Actually... my intake is missing the EGR tube, so could I just leave it off and block off the holes?

The tube has to be bent and convinced to mate up on the header side. It fits fine on the intake side IIRC.

Or you could do as I suggested in the PM

I think I like the PM solution better...
