"Toxicology results for Paul Dhaliwal showed his blood alcohol level was 0.16 -- twice the legal limit for driving."

Okay, but what's the legal limit for tiger taunting?

I think the BAC limit for the aforementioned tiger taunting is 0.18, but bear in mind they also had a little skunk weed in their systems.

Legal limit is when the tiger stays in it's area as you taunt it.

Once you exceed the limit you become Purina Tiger Chow.

Just a few less drunks/hippies driving around the streets, fine with me.

But, but, in my perfect world, populated by personal injury lawyers, zoos are supposed to be drunk proof...

So they killed a tiger who just wanted to get "second hand" high and drunk....poor tiger.
Wealth, power, and experience are apparently not enough to save us from social influences. Groupthink, as described by I.L.Janis, is the tendency for group members to reach a consensus opinion, even if that decision is downright stupid (Janis 1982).

+1. You taunt a 400 pound apex predator, and then you want to sue the zoo when said predator decides to have you for lunch? I say the two survivors ought to be dropped back into the tiger enclosure as a lesson to all the other idiots out there.

Agreed. The sad part is some sleaze lawyer is probably still gonna sue the zoo and make a mint in the process.

Man I missed this thread last weekend.

    Some good posts in here.

Yes the family will get some money due to the height of the wall being shorter than suggested. Some sleaze bag attorney will get his cut as well.

Outside of that it is a Darwin award winner... at NO time in my life would I have taunted a tiger at a zoo. Even when I was young and stupid(er). I guess I have too much respect for them.

Also something funny to add... My wife and I were watching a Chris Rock stand-up special and he was talking about the tiger that attacked Sigfried or Roy (I forget which one).

Anyway he said that he thought it was funny because people were saying the "Tiger went crazy"... he said "The Tiger went tiger".

    It was quite amusing.
