The '99 Miata was not available with Black Leather. As others have stated, later years of the NB were available with it. With that said, there are several aftermarket makers of black leather covers and it is not that uncommon for a dealer to add one of theses aftermarket kits to close a sale.

A number of '99's were outfitted with black leather dockside in the US, and while they weren't built that way, they were sold that way by MNAO.

There also were plenty of aftermarket people selling leather kits for NB's
