    Default Ebay: Shipping to APO

Would you do it? I am selling a camera lens for a few hundred dollars, so it isn't exactly a cheap item, or an amount of money I can just lose. I had a guy with over 200 positive feedback ask if I can ship it to him. In my auction I said I only ship to continental US addresses, so I can say no, but also that eliminates a bidder.

Just take it to the post office, (not UPS or Fedex), and fill out a customs form to slap on it. The cost will be the same as mailing it to the coast, and there probably won't be customs fees on either end.

(I've had FPO addresses in the past for over 12 years, FPO is the Navy version of APO. And yes, I would do it in a minute. It is hard to get some things overseas, so they may bid higher, and it is possibly helping someone who is in the military. I would also be careful with packaging, since it may be weeks before it gets where its going.)

I've shipped a couple of $250 digital cameras to APO addresses in the past. I sweated it since I've never done it before then but it was just fine.

Take it to the post office and insure it. FedEx/UPS doesn't ship to APO's and I'm not sure if DHL does.
