If you can't launch it what difference will it make?

I don't know, I guess only the first 60 feet matter in an autocross anyways.

Just picked up my car from Miata Solutions. We think it is fixed, so we'll see how the event goes.

Good to hear you got the car back!
I learned this the hard way.....

Take all of your valuables out of your car at night. This includes taking the mounting hardware off of your windshield or dash and hiding the power supplies. I lost over $ 1,000 to a thief with no hope of recovering my items and to top if off they smashed my window in the rain and my truck got soaked. Let my loss be your learning experience.

I'll bring a white 72, just in case.

It was a typical first event at Mineral Wells. Colder than in the morning with the wind gusting out of the north. The wind died down in the afternoon and warmed up nicely.

Good showing of Miatae. There must have been at least 8-9 Miata pilots.

    POS won CS.
    JRJ took 3rd in ES.
    I won Street Tire.

I think a Miata driver won Novice today as well. Chris something (maybe).

Yes they were! LugNutJon was flying and was running 60's. He beat all the Corvettes. I think General Default took second and RatFinkel third. I think they all won some PAX money, Miatamoto included.

Actually, I took 3rd and J-Fo was fourth. John PAX'd 1st overall, followed by Madarash, then me. It was a good day despite running in the morning and not being able to keep the tires up to temp.

Today was a bit chilly in the morning, but the course was a good one and The Hudsons had a good showing. Somehow I managed to take 3rd in street tire and my brother beat an unknown number of others in his class to take first there!

Great day, forgot the sunscreen early and I will pay for that tomorrow

    Looking forward to Saturday.

Going with the 195 tires (instead of 205 or 225) to change my gearing seemed to make a difference. I car felt a lot quicker off the line. Not I just need to continue to learn to take advantage of the grip. I was really surprised yesterday with the amount of grip.

    I have raccoon eyes today.
