Exactly, there were several long sweeping turns that required a certain level of slip angle to get through quickly. No real technical sections, and Jon just excelled out there.
I just plain sucked, can't comment on the rest of BS.
Jerret, granted the shorter 195's are giving you a nice gearing advantage. You really are giving up tons of grip to the 225's that Gerry and Rick run. I would look into getting a set ASAP. BTW, you looked really good out there. Incredibly smooth on your 1st run.

I will probably need a new set part way through the season, so I will try some 225s to see which seems to work best for me -- better gearing or more grip. As for "ASAP," I cannot push aside tires with only two events on them in order to try something larger. I just cannot afford it. They get replaced when they are used up.

I learned this the hard way.....
Take all of your valuables out of your car at night. This includes taking the mounting hardware off of your windshield or dash and hiding the power supplies. I lost over $ 1,000 to a thief with no hope of recovering my items and to top if off they smashed my window in the rain and my truck got soaked. Let my loss be your learning experience.
