Anyone done their fuel filter?

I am guessing the fuel hoses are going to be too stiff to re-use. I was planning on doing it yesterday, but I just ran out of fuel after doing the steel brake lines.

Nothing as fun as having an 8 year old help you bleed brakes. Yikes! I must have yelled 3 and hold a million times.

it sucks if you dont have a lift. but be sure to get the one with the bracket already on it. makes it a little easier...
all of the ones i have done have reused the fuel hose. there is enough slack so that if you must cut it you can still get it back on the new one.

I spilled a lot of gas when I replaced my filter recently, even though I properly depressurized the system. Be careful if you are doing this in a confined space (garage) with a flame source (water heater) nearby. Otherwise, it was not a difficult task with the car up on ramps.

I did one and I used some very basic medical supplies to do it for an almost no spill deal, Buy two hemostats ( the plastic ones) calmp each hose, remove the hoses and then install the new filter,remove the hemoststs, re-pressureize and go. most you will spill is the contents of the filter.
