After leaving auto sports and focusing on the family and work for a few years I'm ready to have a bit of fun on the track again. I love smaller cars, and RWD makes me smile, so what could be better than a Miata.

I'm currently looking for my first Miata.

If you are looking for a newer model, this seems like a pretty good deal to me:
And if you are looking for an older model (1999), sammm might be convinced to part with his, judging by this post:

Welcome. I think you will find the Miata to have a very high fun to dollar ratio.
On the track, I am fearless.
If you were as slow as me, you wouldn't be afraid either.

Thats what I'm looking forward too. I've done the Conquest TSI, and Supra thing, and raced most of the FWD Honda's worth mention, I even and played with a buddies S2000 for a while. But most of my friends, and my friends who I thought were really good drivers drove miata's or something that cost 4 or 5 times more. This is one of the few times i have to agree if you can't be them join them.

It seems like a great platform, and from 90 on they even look nice.

    S2000's are great.. I used to have a 2001 Ap1.

However the Miata is so worry free since maitenance and insurance are so cheap.

Plus they are very tossable and responsive.

Welcome, apariah; good luck with your search. Pay no attention to the thread drift.

    Nice one though, blackzx3_13

At the moment I'm expecting my budget be to right at 2500.00. The wife and I are still sorting through some tax issues.

I like all three, but I think my budget is in the NA range.

BTW I'd like to thank everyone of the warm welcome.
