Glad you are back safe and sound.
Sorry, I never mentioned it. I returned safe and sound Tuesday night. I got kinda busy when I got home. Catching up on work and school and all.
Glad you are back safe and sound.
On the track, I am fearless.
If you were as slow as me, you wouldn't be afraid either.

Now that I have a bit of free time, I can mention how the NC was on a long trip. The seat is very comfortable, and it's nice to have the controls on the wheel, but of course the suspension lets you feel every imperfection in the interstate for hours on end. I averaged about 30mpg the whole trip and I could easily make Tulsa on one tank of gas. I made the best mileage (31mpg) driving no faster than 70mph. After about 75mph I could expect just under 30mpg. About 29.7 or so. Anything else anyone wants to know?
I have the 06 Sport (which is the 07+ Touring) with the 6 speed manual unfortunately I don't have the sport suspension package. I would have liked it for the LSD but I got a decent deal on this one (one of the last 06's on the lot in December 06).
Miatas make great road trip cars. My SO and I did 3000 miles in 9 days last April (Deals Gap, etc.) Just this Feb we took 5 days and went to Big Bend.......my 99 gets 27 to 31MPG.
If I were to do it again (which is very possible with my grandfather's health), I may take my wife and the Honda Fit. That way we can swap out (the Fit's front passenger seat folds into a bed).

I agree, but in this case I had to get there, see my family for two days, and return home without missing too much work.
I guess flying would seem to make more sense, but my parents wound up spending 12 hours door-to-door on the way up due to some airline snafu. So that may not have been a time save after all.
