WTB: project miata

I'm looking for a deal like most :)

Ideally I'd LOVE to have an ABS car......I don't care what year as long as it's an NA (90-97).

I'd prefer a 94-97 1.8L but would get a 1.6 for the right price. :)

I want it to be running, but cosmetic appearance is not important. However, for the right price I'd take a car with some mechanical issues......gearbox or diff broken is ok.......but a running motor.

The 93LE should have ABS unless you removed it.

It's a laguna blue, cloth interior, ABS. Pretty darn unusual combination, one I'd like to have found when I was shopping.

IIRC, all '93LE, '95M, and '96M cars have ABS. Other than that it's pretty hit or miss - mostly miss. I think that if you want ABS, you'll either have to pay for it or get VERY lucky.

For $1500, sure it has problems :) This was a VERY nicely maintained Miata with a header and CAI. Interior and top are excellent. It had an altercation on an icy bridge and the bridge won! Right rear quarter is smashed and some minor damage on the right front. All the damage is bodywork. Suspension is good. I have another 90 silver parts car and will throw in the rear clip. When this happened(4 years ago) it was running great. Now, it won't start. No fuel is getting thru the injectors, but I hear them clicking. Fuel pump is fine, but the gas looked awful the last time we tried to start it(2 years ago). I supect that drining the fuel and cleaning the injectors will get it running. I just don't have time........

I was hoping to find something that moved under its own power to get it home and be able to move her around at first.

Do you have any pics fo the '90? How bad is the damage on the front? Does it have a LSD? I need a parts car for my '91 but everything I need is on the front. Plus, I could use the motor. Lets make a deal!

I deliver to a store in Azle right off of hwy 199. The main guy that works there is ricky. His girlfriend is selling a red '90 with 190K for $1800. Car isn't really worth more than a grand, but she said she wants to get rid of it. I could get his contact info if needed.

If you dont mind, I would like to have her number. If I can talk her down I may buy it from her and either make that one my project car or part it out to complete my current car. All depends on what it is like. Either way, I will have a complete car.

I have pixctures, but my internet ISP has been down all weekend. Don't know if it has an LSD or not. Very minor damage on the fender and nose....scuffed paint is about it. This is NOT my car, so make me an offer and I will see if the owner accepts........

How about some details on the LE.

This is "James Bondo", the one I bought in CA. Body is rough. Doesn't have the BBS's, nor the SSS radio. Ran fine the whole way home from CA, 3-4 years ago. The interior and dash are mostly removed, but everything is there. The seats need new leather. Still runs. I fire it up once in a while and move it around.
