    Default KYB AGX lifetime warranty

What does this cover? I have had a set of agx now for probably 4 years. They are toast. Every bump slams me against the bumpstops. I am looking at ebay right now to order another set, but I see they come with a "limited lifetime warranty" I am guessing it is very limited. And considering they have had FM springs the entire time that limits it more. Is it worth my time to find a dealer and replace them, or just buy a new set off of ebay?

You could always contact KYB. Let me know what you find out. Mine are even older than yours but still holding up fine. What do you have them set on?

I'd explore the warranty. Can't hurt to ask and it doesn't cost anything to do so.

I called and they said you have to go through the original retailer. Since I got them several years ago off of ebay it looks like I will go that route again.

I think it's for the original owner from the original retailer only.

I have also heard that use with non-oem springs voids the warranty, as well as installation by a non-ASE certified mechanic. It is starting to sound a lot like Chrysler's lifetime drive-train warranty.

Well I am the original owner, but they were used with FM springs, and last time I checked I am not ASE cert. BTW BR, I normally run them on 2 which is 4 on your car. When they stopped damping at that I turned them up to 3, but that didnt do much. They are toast.

What else am I looking at during replacement? I figure bumpstops all around. Are the NB bumpstops one piece with the dust boot too or should I look at those also?

Bumpstops for sure. They aren't part of the boot and are shaped like a donut.

The Koni is on the other 99 that I have. I have 2 '99 and they look exactly the same.

I guess I will be looking another set of dampers soon.
