Default Future PCA AX at the Rangers Ballpark

The PCA announced today that one of the future AX events will be in one of the parking lots at the Rangers Ballpark. We'll see how it goes. I will post a thread once I know the date.

Kudos to PCA for trying new venues. I hope this works out.

I agree. It is great to see the new AX chairman being proactive like this. I think the Birdville ISD stadium was a bust, but it was nice to try.

Must be nice to not have to worry about the cost! What is that going to set them back?

They say it is actually less than the bus lot with the size of the mineral hell! I think it will be in the early part of August.

I think that they are overstating the size, but they did say it was less than the TMS Bus Lot. We'll see come race day.

I think it is great as well. And as far as money goes, I am more than pleased at the cost of all the Maverick PCA events.

While not as big as MW, it does look pretty big when you look at these satellite photos all at the same scale:

    Ballpark

    MW

    Bus lot

It does look to have a good deal of light polls though.

Is that parking for Six Flags?
Hmm what is decent? Are we talking about your decent or my decent? I'm just curious because I don't want to offend anyone else's decent...

The link for the Ballpark actually shows the parking lot for Six Flags. So they will be running on a different lot.

The 2 times that I have gone to a Rangers game, the lot on the right (that is full in the picture) was for six flags, but they had people there for the game park in the lot to the left of it (empty in the picture). I parked there both times.

Yes, that is Six Flags overflow parking, unless you are talking about the 3 smaller lots at the bottom of the screen. Most of the parking lots for the BallPark are smaller in comparison to the Six Flags lot.

Thanks for the complement on being proactive.

But.... why do you think the Birdville lot was a bust?? I need feedback on this stuff.

    Thanks for asking.

Just to make sure there is not a misunderstanding, I did not mean that the event was a bust, but the site was not as much as we hoped. The location and surface was great, but the site was really too small. I think Pennington is actually a little bigger with just as good of a surface. So, if I had a choice between the two, I would choose Pennington.

I really wanted Birdville to be a great new venue, but...

But... you can't beat the rental cost at 100.00 per event with a 300.00 deposit.

I was wondering whether that lot on the east(?) side of Birdville Stadium might be a better space for AX?
