My girls have both paid for their own gas and their share of auto insurance since the day they got their driver's license. That money goes into an account they don't know about that will go towards future college expenses, but the point is that the lesson of "no such thing as a free lunch" has apparently been successful.

Every parent wants their kids to have it better than they did, but paying their bills for them is not the way to do it.

This posts just brought up a very scary point. The rate of inflation on gas and college. I bet in 25 years gas will be $25.00 a gallon and a 4 year degree will cost 200,000.

Hey junior, nobody made you come here and start posting. Grown-ups take their lumps and move on. You're already about one post away from my ignore list.

Well Pops when the thread is about me, and when misinformation starts getting posted I am going to express my opinion. If you don't like it add me to your ignore list and be a communist

For those of you that havn't driven one, this is the closest thing I can find that illustrates the feeling of driving the Lotus.

Justin, don't get all wound up, you're the one getting everyone going. Until you posted, this thread was dying. So, thanks for keeping the thread going Justin! Oh, and if you don't think I caught some crap here for letting Austin drive the turbo Miata, think again and do a search.

I planned on posting this earlier, but it looks like Justin beat me to the punch. He came by last night to show me the car, and even let me drive it, albeit before I told him about this poll. BTW, the numbers have really changed since he learned about it. (way to screw up a Gallup Poll Justin!)

Anyway, the car is a very sweet '05 model with only 1500 miles on the clock when purchased. It drives and handles great, and is way quicker that I thought it would be. I have to admit, if I wasn't so fat and was able to get in and out of it in less than a minute, I'd defiantly want one. I think its a great looking car, and drives like a bat out of hell. It's also his dream car, so congrats Justin, you've earned it by paying for it for the next few years. The biggest problem you currently face is all that poontain that the car will attract, and you have no place to take them.

Maybe I have a tinge of jealousy, as I have yet to be able to afford my dreams, but then again the pursuit keeps me going. The reason for this poll was not to put you down or make you look like a douche, but was to see if my sentiment was similar to the population on this board and to bounce this off of the members. BTW, you probably wouldn't have ever found this post, had I not told you about it, and had it been aimed at making you look like a douche, I wouldn't have told you. You don't have to rationalize anything to anyone, and besides no one knows who you are, or didn't until you became so vocal.
