All four or just one? I'm thinking brake fluid leak, but don't have the time to make it to Plano anytime soon.
Hope this helps
Noticed some odd viscous fluid on the inner rim of my steelies and was wondering if anyone had space, time, and tools to check it out. Anyone free today? I can offer to buy beer and lunch as compensation for anyone willing to help.
Also, anyone free sometime soon to do a tech day for a 60,000 maintenance part install? I never got a response on my previous thread a while back.

Walsted: Just the rear right passenger side, the others are fine. It wasn't a huge area either.

Can ya tell what the fluid is? Is it brake fluid, or is it grease, or is it cat piss?? I thought I had a brake fluid leak on my old NA turned out a pissed on the wheel....
The 60,000 mile service isn't just a couple hour deal, may be why you response level was low.
Sounds like it may be a good time to go see http://www.miatasolutions.com/ he can do the 60,000 mile service for ya and figure out your leak!
POS: It did feel more greasy than liquid, now that you mention it... I thought it was odd that it didn't smell anything near brake fluid.
As far as hitting up Miata Solutions, I wish I could but being in debt from a deadbeat ex and paying back loansharks has me strapped for cash. I do however have the parts from Trussville in a box.

Go to a Wednesday night GTG on the Eastside, I'm sure you could find someone to help ya!
Like POS always says, "if it smells like cat piss and it tastes like cat piss..."
Or if you've got a black light, cat piss glows under ultraviolet light.

My room glows in the dark too... but i don't have any cats....... hmmm
I had a slow brake fluid leak on the inside of my right rear wheel - it turned out to be a leaky caliper. I never figured out where the exact leak was; I just went to O'Reilly for a rebuilt, and that fixed the problem.
May I suggest you check your brake fluid?
Hope this helps.
