Default Adding keyless entry/power door locks

Can anyone recommend a good, simple keyless entry unit I can add to my car? I've been thinking about it for a while, but I decided to get serious when I got soaked in the rain last week trying to work the gimpy door lock with my gimpy key.

BTW, the locking mechanism works fine from the inside, but the lock cylinder gets cranky in cold/wet weather (64 and rainy in New Mexico last week ).

you might try a cheap car alarm and leave it in valet and just use the key-less feature

Yeah... I like to leave the top down, windows up, an the doors locked. That way the crackheads don't slash my top, but they can't get in unless they have a slim-jim.

True... but I need to add solenoids for the door locks as well. I ain't got them fancy elec-terical power locks.

Power door locks!! You have been hanging around black roadster a bit much perhaps.

Maybe it's time to trade in that Miata and get yourself a nice LeSabre.

I have added the keyless lock to one of my 99. It works OK except that the keyless solenoid put a lot stress on a plastic tab in the lock mechanism and have broken it twice. It still works, but I can not manually unlock the car from inside anymore due the broken tab. Most of the cheap car alarms have this as "add-on". I got mine at Best Buy.

Hmmm... good to know. I don't want to break anything that's already there.

I was planning on going with this sites combo kit eventually. $154.99 and like $12 shipping for power door locks and trunk seems good to me.
