You ever go to Track 21 in Houston?
Karttrax Indoor Karting
I've been going by this place for months and had forgotten about it. It's on Main Street in Lewisville. I'm gonna look into the racing league since my frikkin' job works me on saturdays and sometimes sundays.
I'm thinking wed night meet/ dfwmiata meet.
How long/how many laps is one race? 3 races for 15 is reasonable, 6 races for 30 bucks is like an autocross I bet it's more seat time than one too.

The old indoor track just north of downtown Ft Worth used to run a league for 5 man teams. 10 laps per driver for a 50 lap race. Batons were passed between team members already staged in a cart. 5 teams running at a time and it was really fun. They used an odd number of carts so the teams rotated through the carts in case there was a slow or fast cart. All adults in 10hp Honda powered carts. I was really bummed when they went out of business. Maybe we can set up another league against the PCA, S2k, BMW and other groups.

I've never done something like this, but I would be interested.
The website does not load for me, maybe it's just down? Either way I live only a few minutes from this place. Hopefully my job won't interfere.

I went to karttrax today and was sadly disappointed. Based upon the picture on there website, it appeared that most of the building was track. Turns out it's only about 1/3 of the building. The course is really small, only having 5 turns, 2 of which are very narrow. The surface is slick and shiny like a garage floor so turning and accelerating wasn't really doable. I didn't actually drive the karts, but I could tell that they were slow, since the course was so small.
Maybe once Speed Zone has completed their renovation we can all go check out the redone grand prix portion.
