Buy it back.
You can get $20K off a brand new H2!
Toyota sent me a letter telling the lease on my 4Runner is almost up...
So I guess it's time to replace the 'Runner, which sucks because after almost 3 years and 0 problems and I still like the darn thing!
But SUV are not the most fuel efficient choices available today, I guess should find a more fuel efficient alternative.![]()
So in the under $35,000 range what would be a decent family truckster for the POS Clan??
TIA
Get some kind of cool wagon, maybe Legacy GT or Audi A4 avant. Or a Mini clubman if you don't need something quite as big but still want good MPG.

How about a Ford Flex?Oh wait, you wanted decent mileage.
I agree with CosmosMPower -- look into a cool wagon. SUVs are so 2005.
Hmmm... AWD, 6-cylinder, plenty of room, comfy...
How bout this?

I do kind of like the wagon plan, I was hoping Toyota would have the Venza available but I am being told it may be December until I could get on which will not work since the 'Runner is due back before that....

Sounds like you want another 4Runner...
I don't blame you, though. They're good solid trucks - I'd love to have an old one to kick around and haul stuff in... one of these days.
I like the looks of that Venza, but I bet it drives more like a fat-ass Camry or a minivan - not fun. You might take a look at the RAV4 - they've got a honkin' V6 now and they're decently sized (looks bigger than a Highlander now).
What about the Mazda CX-7 or CX-9?
BTW, we had an Eagle growing up, nicknamed The Kelvinator. We sold it to my uncle in Oklahoma and they had it forever - that SOB wouldn't die!

The Runner has been awesome but I've been there done that and Toyota hasn't changed anything on it since I got mine back in '06. So all that would change is the odometer reading which hardly seems worth getting another one. Plus a little better gas mileage would be nice!
The Venza is built in the Camry Plant on our vacation we took a tour of the plant and got to see some pre-production Venza they looked pretty good. I'm also wondering how it will ride since it is basically a tall Camry.
The Highlander is way bigger than the RAV4. My dad got an '08 Highlander Sport about 2 months ago and he let my family use it for a week long family trip. After a week with it and almost 2200 miles, we came away not wanting a Highlander, don't get me wrong it is very nice it's just not me. We had a RAV4 4 banger as a rental a while back and liked it, so it may be in the running. I need to add it to my list!
Other than Miatas Mazda doesn't offer anything I'd really consider.
This may also work
