Your not alone on that thought!

As an FYI GM is not doing leases currently, well the 'lac guy said they still do but not Pontiac or Chevrolet.

Today we looked at the Pontiac G8 GT, Chevy Malibu LTZ, Cadillac CTS & STS, and the Toyota Venza.

Rankings as of 8:30pm (Subject to change for no apparent reason)
    1. Venza
    2. G8 GT
    3. Cadillac (Either) (Kid and Dad like the STS, Mom likes the CTS)
    4. Malibu LTZ

WASHINGTON - General Motors said Tuesday it needs $4 billion in government loans this month and a total of $12 billion by late March to keep operating.

The troubled automaker said it plans to slash its numbers of workers, vehicle brands and plants by 2012.
Altogether, the auto giant is seeking up to $18 billion in government funding — including a $6 billion line of credit in case market conditions worsen.

General Motors Corp. would focus on 4 brands — Chevrolet, GMC, Buick and Cadillac. By 2012, the plan calls for 20,000 to 30,000 fewer workers, a reduction of nine facilities and 1,750 fewer dealers.
Ah well looks like maybe the Pontiac may move in the rankings......

Talked to a fellow today who didn't like his Malibu much. 31,000 miles and he's on his third front end.

Ok I know you like style and want to be green for the environment. How about a Fisker

The only US car company who's inventory is sold out.

It was an 06, and apparently the front end problem is common. However, he did say the new ones supposedly don't have this issue.

As I remember it, the '67 had a problem with the rear end breaking loose whenever you hit the gas pedal.

No telling how this is going to play out, I just am not in the mood to mess with buying a car.

I did talk to Toyota Motor Credit and I can extend my current lease up to an additional 6 Months, so I have an out if I loose interest.

what about a good old GMC Yukon?

If you still like the 4runner, what about offering them less than the buyout? Couldn't hurt to try.

I still have it (it is officially due back Friday), Toyota Motor Credit isn't budging on the buyout they want more than the current market value...... They can have it back!

Figure I'll extend the lease for another month Toyota Motor Credit will allow me to keep if at the same payment for up to 6 months.

The local car dealers want to play your normal car dealer games and I am just not in the mood.

    Thumbs down

Stupid Toyota Motor Credit just called to remind me the lease is now up on June 17th.

I'm still not in the mood to play buy a new car... TMC rep. hardly knew what to do when I told him the 4Runner was at home in my Driveway and if they wanted they could go pick it up.

Just lease or buy a new Venza or a CTS Wagon and be done with it.
