I just finished changing my car's brake fluid and engine oil. Also, installed a newer radiator and flushed the system. If the timing is right, I can come help.
Who else needs to do a brake fluid and coolant flush for Hallett?
I have an NC and an NB that need to have that done and new brake pads too.
Anyone having a tech day for this? I haven't done this before on Miatas, just on motorcycles.Only two weekends left!

I need to do a brake fluid flush and install the stainless steel brake lines that have been riding in my trunk since April. I'm game for this weekend if you're doing it (as long as it doesn't interfere with the Cowboys game!). The next weekend I'll be installing my Butterfly Brace.

Well I don't have a pump for the brakes but know Black Roadster just got one. He's changed his coolant with the timing belt change he just did but don't know if he did his brakes yet. Maybe he could join us this weekend here in Allen. I have room to do three maybe four cars at same time.
I'm out for this weekend. My grandson's second birthday party is tomorrow and there's an autocross on Sunday.
I'll keep watching this thread to see if the schedule changes.

Well nothings set in stone that's for sure. I still need to get the fluids and pads. Just don't want to put it off any longer in case I have to wait for parts or fix problems.
Sorry. A.J. has my car this weekend for the suspension bushings and steering components he is installing. I was planning on either doing my brakes some evening the week before Hallett. I'm sure we can knock all four cars out in one night if y'all were game. If not, Nexus Flux said he'd help me get the fluid swapped and new pads installed.
I'm going to go out and round up a few parts and fluids and stuff. I'll check back here and see if anything's going on up in Allen, otherwise I can make time to work on some stuff during the week.

I'm going to have to order the NC pads. Getting the NB ones from Gary this afternoon. If you have a pump we can use we could me tonight or tommorrow TrickyRix.
Whew! It took me all damn day, and I think I covered most of the Metromess, but I finally got all my stuff rounded up except pads. They look to be fairly healthy so I'm not sure I need new ones (I may pick some up as insurance, though). Here's what I've got left to do in the way of maintenance:
SS brake lines
Brake fluid flush (Valvoline Synthetic)
Trans fluid change (I'm going to try the Motorcraft Full Synthetic 75W-90)Done
Diff fluid change (I've got some Mobil 1 75W-90 on hand)Done
I'll try and knock out the trans/diff fluids in the morning, but football kinda screws up my car day tomorrow (Favre and Romo will be occupying my day from noon till 6 - sorry, I'm a junkie). I'd definitely be up for Tech Night this coming week. Think we could we get one rolling by, say, 7-ish?
I've got jackstands, a floor jack, and a MityVac pump that I can bring, along with the obligatory tools. If we have air, I also have some air tools - just let me know.

That's fine. William can't do his car till the week before Hallett. I'm going to do the NC either tommorrow or Monday morning then do Cara's NB later in the week.
Cool... I'll be curious to hear how the NC brake job compares to the NB/NA. Are you going to flush the fluid too?
If you want help with Cara's car, hit me up.

I did the tranny, diff and the brakes Saturday afternoon and evening...car should be about ready for me, cleared out the trunk Sunday.
Did the NC's pads today. Got some Hawks at a good price from Track Dog Racing. Got em for both cars. I will change the brake fluid after I glaze the pads since I need to get 'em so hot. Still need to change coolant too.
Trickyrix, Zig, Black Roadster and anyone else who was planning to come over tonite I'm sorry I have to cancel. Most of Carazzie's family are coming in this afternoon/evening due to evacuations in Galveston County. I'll try to PM ya'll too. Again, very sorry.
