Looks like I did get a photo of trickyrix taking a photo of some cars. With observational skills like that, maybe you should be working for NSA. Majik's new job?

Looks like we'll have a lot of photos and videos to pour through. Gotta love digital!

Kudos to all the rookies for keeping their cars on the track and having a great time learning the track! Other than some ugly spin coming out the Bi%$* by an unnamed red Miata, there was no real drama. And other than some well-worn brake pads, a broken wheel stud, and some supercharger issues, most cars survived the weekend unscathed!

Let's do in again in '09.

BTW...looks like the Hallett pics are posted to their website.

And if you look really close to see what car was used for the "Miatas at Hallett" logo, you'll see it's mine. From last year! Odd...

    Those are some great photos!

I had a blast at Hallett this year.
Let's not talk about the trip back to Dallas, but Hallett was great!

I don't think my Miata has ever been so hooked up at a track before.
My tires seemed to be glued to the track, the steering and alignment where perfect and the brakes worked extremely well, the whole time, even when I could smell the pads melting. lol
My car worked so well, that Gary only beat my fastest time by 3 one-thousandths of a sec.
That's in the yellow car of course, but the fact that I had 80 or so more horses than him shouldn't really matter. : )

I have some good photos as well, and will get them posted soon.
And check out my video at:

Awesome video! You can really hear the Supercharger.

Anyway you can post up a high resolution on one of the other video sites? Youtube, photobucket, etc?

I've got it on YouTube now, at a higher res.

No, it's at real speed, but as the day went on, the vibration to the cameras just got worse. By the last session the video started to get real jumpy.
As can be seen on my fast lap.

As to me reelling you in on the straights, well:
Turn to the book of Aspiration, chapter three, line 20:
"And the TrackDog said, let there be Boost. And all could see there was Boost.
    And it was GOOD!"

I'm still trying to find the verse, "...and the poor shall inherit the boost."
