Thread: IPod for an NB

    Question IPod for an NB

    Got the Kid a new iPod nano-chromatic for her B-Day, so mom gets her old iPod Nano (which isn't fair since I feel dad should get it).

    So now mom wants to play her iPod in the car. I have offered her my 4Runner which has a AUX input for iPods and she declined. Seems as if she wants her own AUX input put in her NB.

    I recall seeing something about such a device here at MME; but all I have found while searching is a bunch of useless rants by Black Roadster trying to justify the coin he is spending for his iPhone.

    Can I get some help!

    TIA!

    I shouldn't respond to you (butthead) but we have the Aux-mod in the MPV and it's simple but it works. You can't control the iPod from the stereo because it's just a basic Aux-input but it works as advertised. It plugs into the factory tape deck plug so you can't use a tape deck with the Aux-mod.
    ...and across the line.

    POS,

    How about this --> http://www.amazon.com/DLO-009-3050-T.../dp/B0013PXV4S

    You can get this locally for $30-$40 at TJ Max or Marshall. I like mine. It does not get into the way of the shifter and allowing charging while you are playing. The only downside is this is not a hardwire unit. However, in a Miata, you won't know the difference anyway.

    +2 - I've had an auxmod unit in the RX-8 for a year now with no problems. FM transmitters are worthless, imho - really poor sound quality, and you have to keep looking for an unused frequency (hard to find in a major metro area).

    I have an FM transmitter version for $20.00 if you want it...
