My name is David. Just purchased a 2000 LS.

My quick car history in order of purchase:
1994 New Yorker Turbo: Parent's car, that 2.2L kicked butt. lol
1990 Integra GS 4dr Auto: Hated automatic, my parents idea of car I should have. (replaced by below)
1991 Integra RS 3dr Man: my idea of the model I actually wanted. (replaced by below)
1996 Integra LS 3dr Man (replaced by below)
1998 Integra GSR 3dr Man (stolen and replaced by below)
1999 Civic EX 4dr Man (what was I thinking ??!!?? and replaced by below)
2000 Integra Type R (turned into a Honda Challenge race car)
1990 Miata (thought about Spec Miata, but sold to friend who eventually crashed it)
    1998 Toyota Tacoma (tow vehicle)
2002 S2000 (daily driver for a few years and sold in 2007)
(This month sold the Tacoma, trailer & Race Car and bought below)
    2000 Miata LS

I have been autocrossing & HPDE'ing (as student & instructor) for about the past 8 years, w2w raced for a year on the East Coast. New (since 2006) to the DFW area and only been out to Mineral Wells 3 or so times and TWS & MSR Cresson, once each.

Plan to put a double diag in the Miata LS. Anyone know of a good shop to do this? (I am not a detailed person, I would hack it up, if I did it.)

Also, I met a someone at work, who is on this board who drives a Acura RSX. I forgot his username, if you know of him, pass his username along.

Anyway, glad to sign up as a member on this board.

    Oh ok....

Anyway I think the most plans I have for the car is suspension, double diag hd, brake pads & tires. I'll start searching around on this website and miata.net to determine what to get. Basically starting from ground zero in knowledge because all my previous suspension experience is with the DC2 Integra Chassis.

    Welcome.

As far as searching here and on miata.net, (also known here as the "Pointy Board",) good idea, lots of knowledge in both places. I always search here first, since after the first few searches I found that if advice here conflicts with advice from miata.net, the advice here is more practical and applicable for my purposes.

That day we left work together I saw that you took the George Bush almost as far as I. I live in Murphy, I am assuming you live in the Plano area. Maybe next year we can run out to autox's/tt's/hpde's together.

Thanks for showing me that shortcut (the uphill left before the light) to get on to George Bush. Takes a good 5-7 minutes off the commute. Yea, I live in North Plano, not far from Watters Crossing in Allen.

Yeah, I found that shortcut a year or so ago.... just be careful because of construction at the bridge over the GBush, timid drivers wait at the intersection instead of just turning into the lane. If you get a real timid driver, a line of 10-15 cars can form.

Welcome to the board! Was this your yellow Honda Challenge Type R I saw for sale on sccaforums?

I'm in Murphy as well. Whereabouts do you live in the city?

BTW, if you buy the bar and pick the right weekend (and bring the right beer ) we can probably put the bar in at my place. No sense paying someone else to do what you can do yourself with a little help.

+1 on the bar install being a DIY thing.

I've done 2 of them and they can be mostly done by yourself. It helps to have another person when lifting the bar in & out of the car.
