BEGI-S4 with SSTM & gt2560, RC 550-inj., Exede piggy professionaly installed @ BEGI June 2008. LC-1 w/b with autometer boost, oil temp, oil pressure, and water temp. (yes boost and w/b duel pod combo with 3-gauges on DIN) Thompson oil filter relocation kit. RB 2.5 mid and duel exhaust. NGK 8 mm plug wires.
Just installed ACT HD, Bilstein sport, with Tein S springs & FCM bumps, and it has FM sways. Momo steering wheel, with HDHCDD roll bar with a windstopSony with amp in trunk. Escort radar.
Still good paint, kept garaged, little ding here or there, nothing major, no surprises. After BEGI did the install Stephanie took car to dyno and on first pull @ 10 psi got 211 rwhp at 181 tq. However running very rich at top and, clutch started slipping so they stopped. Still breaking in clutch, but believe at 12 psi and tuned, 230 rwhp easy. I have not drove the car 1000 miles yet with turbo Timing belt was changed by Gary Shuhart and Trackdog racing at 78.k I just yesterday installed the shocks, springs and bumps.
Selling this car is in no way a reflection toward BEGI or their kit, as they are a class act. Because of private issues I made Steph aware of I need to sell. In the last four months I have invested $6,600.00 into car. I think $7,500.00 is a steal since this car is ready to go as is. I have clear title and can e-mail photos. OBO

I was told I could put the car on E-bay and fetch more, but really dont have time and want to mess with that. Everything indicated is true, and I will take more pics and be glad to e-mail to anyone. I have some photos right now that Stephanie took while it was at BEGI. WE talked for 20 minutes last night...she trying to talk me out of this. They will totally support you with this kit and Xede.

Took car to Corky said I had a question about leak down results Gary Shuhart did. Corky uses guy in Round Rock a John Young ?? with JC Spec Motors and they tested motor.

they advised these results were avg. on motor with 91.k. as I was going to have them rebuild it. JC Spec is Corky's preferred engine builder but advised you would be wasting your money. I think and Corky agreed afterwards if something was up with my motor I would not have dyno at 10-psi 211 whp at 180 tq. and running about 10.1 a/f. I have the dyno sheet.
Clutch started slipping so BEGI shut her down after the intial pull. Bought ACT HD from BEGI and still breaking it in. @ 12 psi and 11.5 at top... I should get around 230 or more which is expected. So..... motor is fine, but thats my opinion. Heck JC Spec makes a living rebuilding motors but said my motor was typical. That was their opinion, and their in the business of making money. I don't know that much, but was not going to install a turbo on a blown motor. I pulled the coldside off because yes it was getting pinging up top in the dead heat of summer... and without drowning the cylnders with fuel I could not eliminate the pinging.
I got a leak down tester... anyone is welcome to test my motor. Gary's findings were correct when he did his leak down. Preached to me about heat, the importance of an intercooler etc and he was certainly correct. I thought my motor was damaged and blamed it all on Tom with FFS. I pulled the blower and sold it. Tom's good people, and I did not have any igntion control and that's why I was getting the ping. Could the leak down results be better? yes but JC Spec did not think it was bad at all, or certainly not enough to rebuild. Corky agreed and car is fine. WE moved forward... would have installed kit myself but they had special on installs that month for $500.00... it was a no brainer.
I mean if it was the same ol'blown motor how could I get 211 whp at 10 psi with a/f @ 10.1 ??? I am not making this up. I have the dynoe sheet. I don't lie... ??? ya'll know more than I do.. maybe I am wrong but I don't lie. Fricking $7500.00 is a steal if the motor was a peice of crap! Also Gary's leak down, and Corky's numbers were better than what JC Spec came up with. I just don't remember them exactly.
I got plenty of money... check book racer, if I thought my motor was crapped I would have rebuilt her.. punched herout and then installed turbo.
If I implied or someone else that FFS blew my motor I was wrong, because I have no proof. Tom is a decent person and so is Gary. Everyone has their opinions, and you move on. I am getting to old to bash anyone anymore... I aint all there... one day this, the next day that, but I am an honest person. I am not where im at today for cheating anyone. I got a second chance in life on 01/04/93
I act on impluse.. yesterday got wild hair to sell the car and look for a bike this winter. My circle of friends think I am crazy for selling the car. I got boats, tractors, travel trailers, 3 cars, lake property.. got to much crap... need to down size.
hey... if you think my motor is blown give me about three more days to break in my new clutch and take her on a test run. Also the car is here in Dallas, drive it everyday... and it don't use a drop of oil. Son of a bitch turns head everywhere I go and will keep it if I have to.
One more thing, let it be known I wish I had a circle of friends that had turbo Miatas... but I don't. I am not on Gary's A list cuz I am not a customer of his. Don't make me a bad person. I don't live in Plano. it's just me myself and I driving around under boost. (When I had the spec 2 clutch that could not hold up). I had a taste of Lone Star Miata and not for me.
I posted here anyone know about Xede... ? no replies...except one, Duane... like damn...I would bend over backwards for anyone, but to get any help etc from a fellow forced induction Miata owner in Dallas... nope.... so yaa... kind of feel alone, I know.... boo hoo but with no other friends with boosted Miata I thought about selling it. BJ..Hustler.. whomever you are, I offered to help install your turbo, even use my 2.5 car garage because I am trying to make new friends with same interest, blah blah...
maybe because I am a recovering alcoholic dope phien... that turns people off. I dunno
if I seem testy sorry.... certainly would not put turbo on motor that was shot, or at least get an opinion on it. sorry for the long thread.. may just keep her.. jack up the boost and blow the motor and put a stroker in it.
Stephanie said I was crazy for selling the car and maybe she is right. however it suppose to work out, it will.

Those were almost the same numbers I had when I got my '99 compression tested (120k miles) prior to putting the MP62 on. And at 10.5psi my first dyno came in at 216whp and (IIRC) 185wtq. So dead on with what you're posting.
Still waiting for more pics :) No worries on the rant - I get a bee in my bonnet sometimes, too.

I have seen Buck's car. It is in great if not over 9/10 condition. I have not driven it but the install looks very professional. I had business dealing with him before and Buck is a really nice guy. I don't think any lucky guy can go wrong with this price. Wish I have the cash burning a hole in my pocket!
