    Default Heat cycling tires

Well, I am now almost through with my second set of R-comps. My first set, I did not heat cycle at all -- I just put them on and went to town. My second set, I had professionally heat cycled. I can say that without a doubt, the second set has held up much better.

63 runs on the first set, but they were dead at about 52 runs.

I have 73 runs on the current set and they still feel great.

Wasn't the first set 195's and the second set 225's? Could that have figured into the results?

After yesterday, I have 106 runs on my 225's. I heat cycled them myself on the bus lot. (Took damn near an hour.)

Yes, I and I guess the 195s might have gotten a little hotter during each use, but I really do not know if that was the difference or if it was the heat cycling. Right now, I am sold on heat cycling.

Me too, but I'm too TCB to pay $60 for Tire Rack to do it.

True, also did you make the same percentage of runs at the same venues. I could see any MW use killing about 20 runs worth of rubber.

I did 5 events at MWAP, 6 at PMS, 4 on the TMS bus lot. Plus 1 event each at Riverside Annex, Gulf Greyhound Park, LaGrave Field, The Ballpark in Arlington, TMS road course and TVTC at Pearsall.

It was a very fun year.

Here is my tire log. The events with zero runs were in a borrowed car, but I still record them just to track the events I have attended.

25 runs on Set 1 vs. 12 runs on Set 2 at Mineral Wells. Those extra 13 at MW had to shorten their life IMO.

They were already dead for the last 13 runs at MR, so make that 12 vs 12.
