    Default Computer Hardware help

Ok. So I have a Toshiba Satellite A15-S127 Laptop. It came with 256 MB of ram when I bought it 6 years ago. I Immediately bought another 256 stick from Crucial. Back then I think it cost me around $40.....

Anyways, I Had been debating replacing this machine, but instead, the girlfriend just bought me a new battery, and I reformated the machine. Fresh start.

That being said, I'd like to max out the ram. I know the max is 1024/ 2 512 sticks. What is in there right now is 2 256 DDR 266 PC21005-2533-1-A1

According to crucial, they suggest http://www.crucial.com/store/listpar...ries&submit=go

Looking on Newegg I see 512 Kingston sticks for $15 shipped each.

    Will those work? Anything cheaper?
